End of 2008

The next time I post will be in 2009.

But today. Well I've not blogged for months. Facebook has kinda turned that want to blog to just posting photos online.

I guess I have to make an effort to come back here to share more.

Let me start off ... with a LITTLE photo sharing and er ... linking.

23rd December 2008

Full day at work. But still managed to drag my ass home to get the car, get Yan and Ya and travel from East to North to AMK!

The steamboat was calling us!!!!
Ade that siao girl spent $17++ on ... MUSHROOMS! But damn they were good.
THANK YOU ADE!!!

Another thing I learnt that night. Cyn loves squid. She doesn't eat those small cut up pieces that curls when you barely put it on the hotplate. She loves the WHOLE THING! Head tentacles and all. Never knew that she liked it that much.

My exchange for that night. I gave a huge banana! Yeah it's soft and cuddly. I exchange with Peishi who gave me a USB ... aroma diffuser. How to use??? Tried it today ... the smell is not overwhelming. In fact quite sweet. But now I'm planning to see if I could put my perfumes on it or not. HEHEHEHE. My lappy smells so sweet now!

24th December 2008

It was a little gift exchange in the office. You can say most of us had no mood to work. A month before we had to pick names out of a bag. I got Gilbert.

My problem. I duno what he likes! He has a family, doesn't smoke gamble nor drink.
Belts/wallets/shoes/shirts were either too ex or too expected.

In the end, I gave him .... a coffee compressor thingamajig. You're suppose to put the coffee grounded powder in, add water and press it down. And to start him off I added a bottle of fresh grounded coffee powder. Hope he liked it.

My gift was given by the big kahuna himself. Owner of Starmedia. Woot! And he said he didn't know what I like ... damn ... he got something I REALLY like.

A BIG BOTTLE OF CHOYA!!!

Thank you Mr. Ng. *big smiles and intends to get tipsy this christmas*

25th December 2008

Christmas was ... pretty. Wet. Rain rain rain. But well that didn't dampen my mood for the season. Attended 3 gift exchanges. 23rd Xin's house! 24th office exchange! 25th ... Ya's house.

I got a very nice smelling body lotion set. HAha. Thanks Ya! Hand lotion go to office the rest when I have my weekly moisturising ritual.

I gave the girls something a little different. Photo frames you might think boring lah. But I took an old group shot of all 6 of us and put it in there.

Merry Christmas again girls!

Gift results!!!

Black (from colleagues) :
1 - Andy (one of the upper mgt bosses)
He's the one who signs off all our claims and budget sheets. He gave each of the recreation committee members one of these. A very sweet looking stationary holder. Now sitting on my table holding ... nothing at the moment. But soon it'll be filled up.
2 - Pretty star earrings from Sharon
She's my team leader. The sweetest woman you can find and gets along with anyone and everyone. Very popular. Even though it's quite nauseating to see her so sweet but I smile cuz I just think this is WHY I love working for this office.
3 - Sweet Precious Moments box with mirror from Kalis
Fellow colleague. Petite girl but definitely not soft. She can be as tough as any of the other boys in the office.
4 - Cute pouch from Daniel
That silly boy was LAZY in gift wrapping. He didn't even take off the tag. But gift pass the test (verified by team leader Sharon).
Truth be told. I didn't like him at first. He was too quiet. Did his own things. But after switching over to being coordinator for Sharon's team which he is part of. I found that actually quite okay leh! He is willing to help as long of course people ask.
5 - Super cute name hp strap from Beron
I know pink not really me lah. But got my name leh!!! Now have to think where to tie it to. I scared put on bag I'll lose it. Maybe on one of my pouches. Hrmmm.

White (from friends) :
1 - Towel cake from Cyn
2 - USB Aroma Diffuser from PS
3 - Chip&Dale magnets from Ade
4 - Red pouch from Xin

For Christmas. This is my favourite Christmas tree in Singapore. A beautiful combination with the snowflakes, one of my favourite symbols. I was tempted to steal one away but my bag was too small to fit it in.

26th December 2008 - Starmedia Annual D&D 2008

I don't have much photos but I duno if you guys can see the links from two colleagues who sweetly volunteered to be official cameramen for the night.

Gerald's Camera
Xiao Guang's Camera

For the first time in my life ... I've attended a proper Dinner & Dance.
Thank you Starmedia.

What I want to do for 2009 :

Getting my head in check for my job.
I love the office. But sometimes ya ... I can feel a little down and I'm scared it shows. Travelling home is a bitch now that I'm staying in Pasir Ris. Hope I can rectify that soon.

Go overseas for a holiday.
I need one. Batam and Malaysia doesn't count. I wanna go somewhere different like Australia for the relaxation, Japan to watch the sakura blossoms, or maybe even Dubai to just see how advanced they are now, or crazy shopping in China or Bangkok, or maybe just massage stress free trip to Bali, Bintan or Phuket. Sigh.

New Monitor
Yea ... I need a new monitor to link with my laptop ... and not those puny 19" ... I've decided to pamper myself with a massive no no ... not 21" either. I'm looking at something from 24" to about 30" but the prices are not as pretty ... Hrmm ... when's the next computer fair???

Other Resolutions for 2009 :

- Save money every month.
Will put $200 straight into my Citibank account after getting my salary.

- One jug of alcohol mixer or 3 small ones a week <-- this will be hard.

- One soft drink a week. <-- This will be even harder!!!

- Must have one salad a week instead of MSG filled foodcourt noodles.

- Do simple toning exercises every night.
I know I lazy to go gym lah. And hate running. So this is minimal.

- Change my stupid once a week moisturing ritual to a simply daily routine. Without the mask and footscrub.

- Be more true to myself. To voice my opinions and feelings and minimize damage.

- CLASS 2B!!!

To end this off ... I'd like to say that I'm a much happier person this last quarter. Moving back to Pasir Ris was a good move. Next year, the things that I need to get sorted out ... I'd better do them. No more procrastination.

... and I'll be 28 soon ... GAH!!!
