granny and daddy birthdays!!
This is the Ah Ma who lives RIGHT BESIDE ME!!!
A little video of the candle blowing.
It's hard slimming down living beside her. She cooks delicious food all the time. Even though it's oily and fatty but it's OH SO GOOD!
I lost count how many nonya zhang (nonya dumplings) I ate this week. She cooked them and wrapped them herself.
Plus EVERY TIME she cooks her famous MEE SIAM, I confirm will eat at least THREE BOWLS!!! People who came to my house for housewarming will remember her mee siam.

My darling father, who seems to be unable to give up the fact that I'm a married woman with a job liao. He still talks to me like a little girl. Oh well, I guess all fathers are like that.
Actually his birthday is tomorrow but then weekend only we free. Brought him out to eat Hog's Breath at CHJIMES. I tell you ... the steak ribs are SHIOK!!! Not really ribs, more like steak, but it has the tenderness and oh my god juiciness of ribs!!! I thought my little grilled fillet steak was good until I tasted the STEAK RIB my hubby and daddy ordered ... my god soooooo tender!!!! So succulent!
If you worry about prices, it's about $29 - $32+ per steak. $5.80 for free flow drinks. I tell you ... it is worth it! All of us ate until sooooooo full for the whole day! I didn't need to eat dinner today.
Hog's Breath! Try it!!! Set lunches on weekdays are REALLY worth it. There's another branch at Holland Village too.

Daddy made me drive his car today. From Pasir Ris to Toa Payoh and back. To help pick up a tv set for my uncle.
BMW 7 series. The big one which EVERYTHING IS DONE BY BUTTONS.
Put the "key" (looks more like using the part where the buttons are), into a hole and just push it in like you do with a sd memory card into a camera.
Then press the "start/stop" button to start the car. No need to turn key.
Press a red button "P" on the right to unlock the "handbrake". Nothing in the middle for me to hold.
AKA no gear handle. It's replaced by a huge storage box with a turning button that controls the GPS on the dashboard.
Auto gear ... controls (P / R / N / D) are all controlled by a lever on the right ala those cool retro cars which Elvis is famous for driving back long ago. Levers are the same for signalling and wipers.
Okay ... sounds difficult right? Not really ... it's much more convenient once I got the hang of it. Which was like 5 mins. Only problem I had was the WIDTH of the car!!!
SO WIDE! I have bad judgement but ya I did feel like a bad ass driving a big car on the road. My hubby would have loved to drive a BMW 7 series. He says it's every Singaporean guy's goal car in life. "Best Man Wins" he says.
*pengz*
Give me a little mini anytime. I like my car compact, no butts, cute colours and shape, and serves my purpose ... getting from point A to point B.
