Up in flames ... Goodness Gracious

All due to racism.

To think I used to work there more than 2 years ago.

When I first saw the news I was in shock. I knew about the unfair treatment of the workers there. A lot of the seniors when they scold their subordinates, they used the words "stupid" and "idiot" a lot.

I didn't like it. But I also didn't do anything about it. I was more concerned about getting my reports and the girls who were working under me.

Now I'm thinking ... when I left 2 years ago, it was definitely a right decision.

We have improved in our tray clearing, cleanliness in our toilets and letting other passengers to alight first.
Or have we really?

A 7% to 18% increase for tray clearing is not really a good sign. It just shows that we are still VERY lazy in doing so. A better way would be to NOT HAVE anyone clearing the trays FOR them. A designated area for the trays to be deposited at would have a better effect. Or else people are like, the cleaners will clean up for me, then get up and leave. Toilet cleanliness ... same thing. No workers no clean toilets.

Apparently this survey didn't cover peak hour transport. Whenever I get off the train, the space to exit is reduced to only being able to walk out in a SINGLE FILE! I will proudly admit that I do shove or if possible step on the feet of a few of the idiots who blatantly STAND at the entrance/exit of the train doors when the train arrives. Buses still can. One entrance one exit each mah. But idiots are still NOT filling up the buses. The front people are packed like sardines yet there are empty spaces at the back.

Other areas which were surveyed but ALL DROPPED. Which I'm NOT surprised at all.

Being considerate to elderly and pregnant women. Just look at the passengers in the MRT. Young kids are SITTING down playing with their handheld games/phones or pretending to be asleep while old folks and pregnant
women (and I refer to the obviously pregnant ones) are STANDING BESIDE THEM. Whenever I see such things, I'll nudge the inconsiderate bugger and ask him to stand up and let the other sit.

Parents being respectful to teachers ... gosh when has THIS became an issue!?
Back in my school days ... and it's not THAT long ago, parents RESPECTED TEACHERS! Even if the teachers scold us or cane us, we DARE NOT tell our parents in fear that we get even more scolding or beating from our parents. Heck, I even had a classmate whose parents came all the way to school to tell our form teacher and discipline master to CATCH my classmate cuz his hair did not meet school standards.

"60 per cent of the respondents said parents here show respect for teachers, a drop from 72 per cent last year."
Gosh ... I'm surprised it's not even LOWER!!!!

Spoiled Brat : "Mommy teacher today scold me!!!"
Overprotective Mother : "WHAT?! I want to see that teacher now!"

Usually the case is that the child DID misbehave or worse didn't hand in their assignments but only gotten a reprimanding from the teacher. But a child's concept of WELFARE apparently has hit the roof. Just look at all the pansies entering BMT nowadays ... I still hear and see mothers coddling their sons when they get ready to get on the blardy bus to bring them to camp! Some of the guys don't even pack their own alibaba bags!!

If you're wondering what happeneed to that classmate that I mentioned earlier. He did the ultimate rebellious act ... he went skinhead. O_O!!! It was gross.

I no need to say what is the last thing that Singaporeans are not gracious for. Road courtesy ... if there's any.
I ride a motorcycle. I need to learn defensive riding. Everyday, every time I get on the road, confirm will have one bugger who doesn't signal and change lane, drives too close, or causes an accident. Sigh. I'm fighting for my safety/life out there.

But no ... that will not deter me from riding. It's fun.
