Yipee ... in a while I'll be collecting my DVDs.

What I ordered?

Sin City
I lost my old one. So I have to replace it. It's a damn good comic turned movie.
But if you're the sort who cannot take gore and over sexy stuff ... WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING ALL YOUR LIFE?!
No wonder the media say it's our own fault that the world is going to trash. WE like sex and violence, so that's what the movie makers give us. Haha, although that is arguable.

The Brothers Grimm
I remember something like fairytales but twisted. Would be interesting to see how they twist innocent fairytales.

I'm a Cyborg but That's Okay (Korean)
This was something along the lines of falling in love with a robot. So ... MANGA right? Something out of a manga book that I read. CHOBITS!!! Wooo ... can't wait to see how this one goes.

200 Pound Beauty (Korean)
This is going to be the VERY FIRST DVD that I watch once I get my hands on it. Saw the trailers and I'm like WTF?! How the heck she got from

Magic ah? Ooh .. seems like it! But the part about HANDSOME GUYS loving FAT WOMEN is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not real!!! Sorry loh ... have to face reality.

Udon (Korean)
I saw this trailer somewhere. Something about this Udon shop and how everybody loved the guy's udon. Then something happened to the guy, udon not the same ... etc etc ... comedy lah ... wanna see the storylines. You'll never see hollywood making movies like these but it is small movies like these that brings us back to earth instead of our heads up there in the smoke and bombs and stunts.

Just Follow Law
YES! Local production! I bought it cause I wanna see Fann Wong scold vulgarity and act like ah beng!! Cannot imagine sia ... so must see to believe.

It's a Boy Girl Thing
This seems strangely similar to Just Follow Law. Same body switching plot and all the awkwardness that goes with it. Chick flick which I thought might be fun to watch.
If you like such shows, you'll like Freaky Friday (mother-daughter change) and The Hot Chick (high school belle change with no life loser). Hehe.

Music and Lyrics
Some director must have watched Hugh Grant shake his toosh in Love Actually and thought "I wanna make him shake his little tooshy more" and threw him in this movie with the darling Drew Barrymore, make him a pop star has been which had him dressed in 60s loud blazers and shaking his toosh to retro pop. Not bad I say.

Epic Movie
It's like 50 movies for the price of one ... why not? Anytime I need a good laugh this would be a good perk me up.

Ghost Rider
The only problem I have is with Nicholas Cage. He just seems to be getting a little too old to be playing stunt roles like these. I preferred him a lot better in "City of Angels" and the ever epic "Face Off" with John Travolta. Now those are classics that should be rewatched over and over again. Both shows you how much you must treasure what you have. Go watch them if you haven't.

Bridge To Terabithia
I'm a sucker for movies that brings me into fantasy lands of fairies, mythical creatures and magic. When I was young I wanted to be a wizard so that I could be a lazy ass and use my magic to do everything. Haha ... I'm not a wizard now but I'm still a lazy ass. X)

300
The spartans are half naked most of the time with bronzed muscled bodies that ripple with excitement when they war with whatever the Persians throw at them. Another beautifully made movie. Sad ending but beautiful nontheless.
I read that the lead actor commented that it will be the only time in his life that he'll be so fit that even when he's not acting, he'll walk around the set topless all the time. Haha.

Pans Labyrinth
Another fantasy movie between a war torn world which the girl lived in and the magical one where she was prophesized to be the princess of that world. Sounds something like Narnia doesn't it.

Night at the Museum
BEN STILLER!!! Never fails to crack me up. Another must watch to laugh movie.

The Holiday
Another christmas movie. Feel of it was something along the lines of Love Actually but it was only about 2 women who were looking for love FAR FAR AWAY. Sigh. I'm a romantic so I love mushy movies about love.
(Unluckily for me my hubby is not romantic one ... I didn't even get a marriage proposal!!! Yah he used the "Buy HDB flat" line ... but he went to my mom!! *faints*)

Dreamgirls
Singing movie ala Chicago. I've heard about the story of Dreamgirls but reading about it doesn't really register as well as watching it on screen. So I wanna watch it. Simple as that.

Happy Feet
I watched it in the cinemas TWICE. Nuff said.

Employee of the Month
Some geekish but cute guy vying for the affections of bountiful ( )( ) cashier. She has a thing for employees of the month ... crazy fetish though.

DOA Dead or Alive
You saw the game ... how you think the women in this movie would look like. Yes I can see the bouncing globes in the minds of men out there now. It's like DOA Volleyball. Lots of guys buy it but not for the volleyball game ... the bikinis ... they suck them in like bees to honey.

Curse of the Golden Flower
Stellar cast and VERY VERY sad storyline. I wonder what the budget was for this movie cause everything in it was very extravagant.

20 movies ... hehe ... and I still haven't got Cars, Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2, The Devil Wears Prada, and I know I still got quite a few but I just can't remember them off the top of my head at the moment.

*waits for the delivery man to call*
