Buys, Demands, Supplies

The day AFTER I returned from BKK ... I went shopping AGAIN! It was the LAST day of the Great Singapore Sale, I couldn't resist. Plus U2 and G2000 were having up to 50% off and I had a futher 10% off coupon!

Got this LOVELY white shirt with ruffles for only $30!!!

The jacket ... sigh ... the fit was just right and I loved the seams on the edges. But ... but ... SOOOO EX!

I'm a BAAAAD owner. Hee hee.

I just LURVE this mascara~!

I used this when I went to Mambo last night. It was great~!

Before this all my mascaras used to smudge and stain my eye lids and the part below my eyes, making me look like someone just gave me two black eyes, especially after hot sweaty jamming it up at Mambo Zouk.

I remembered seeing this girl walk in there with a balding old man when I drove past there to go home. Then when I was driving to go out again passing by that same road, there she was, without the DOM (dirty old man).

This threw me and hubby into the discussion about demand and supply of sex in Geylang.

To me, as long as there's a demand there WILL be a supply ... in the case of sex that is. Be it night or day, these girls will be there where money is to be made.

Hubby thought the opposite! He said that since there WAS the supply, therefore came about the demand! If there wasn't girls there in the first place to provide sex during the day, there won't be a demand for it. AS IF!!! A man is horny DAY AND NIGHT! Do not put the blame on the women! They do it cause the men WANT it. Even if there were no supply of sex, these horny men would still be horny! The demand STILL exists even though the supply doesn't!

I WIN! I don't care! Hrmp!

How about the rest of you guys and gals? Agree or disagree with me?

My BKK Holiday (warning : many photos to load)

I'm SERIOUSLY warning you all ... I got like 16 LARGE consolidated photos in here. About 150kb for each. If you have a slow connection ... well ... tough ... just be paitient then.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm never travelling budget airlines again if possible. Gosh I just HATED the seats. See how my knees JUST touched the back of the other seat? Hubby still had to put his legs at an angle to fit in. I wonder how those people with big legs, or long legs fit in??? Tickets were about S$192 each. And supposedly it's cheaper. I really dunno man.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This was the ONLY form of non-shopping culture that we had in our whole 4D3N trip. We were kinda lost as in what to do in there cuz EVERY SIGN was in THAI!!!!
Luckily we asked the right person for help. The security guard there asked us a very crucial question, "Le oei hiao tah teo chew wei boh?" (Do you know how to speak teochew?) You cannot imagine our delight!
Getting around was a breeze then. Made a donation in behalf of one of hubby's friend, and the security even helped us light the joss sticks. He collected foreign currency notes too. But all he could spare us was 20Baht (S$0.80), we just told him to take the S$2 note. We didn't mind. Service COUNTS a lot for me and hubby. If we happy with what you do, we'll very likely buy or pay more.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Swensen's is DAMN CHEAP there! We could get ice cream in those tall cups for as cheap as 59Baht! That's like only S$2.40!!! And you see those tiny square plates of banana dipped in chocolate? Those were only 9Baht each!!! Not even S$0.80! We whacked the ice cream sia! Tried the chocolate fondue too! Only complaint we had that hot chocolate gets burnt and doesn't taste nice anymore. The chocolate was like nutella (which I still have a bottle of in my fridge), so maybe one day will do our own fondue. Hee hee.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We saw a sign for Xiao Long Bao. Just had to try it. Braised pork was a nice dish. First time eating the baby bamboo shoots under it. This meal (first 3 pics) was about less than $15.

The 4th pic was eaten at Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Tom yam noodles (which had a lot of funny shell like stuff inside that cannot be eaten), fried noodles with seafood and a modest plate of pork meat (actually it was mostly fats), which my hubby loved. I was grossed.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is my MOST favourtie meal in the whole trip! Our first meal, most expensive ... but SOOOO damn worth it. Imagine we filled up the table with our orders and it could easily feed about 4 persons.
I ordered a sashimi set while hubby ordered a hotpot mushroom set (which had noodles in it too!). The sets each came with a bowl of rice, a bowl of miso soup, a small plate of salmon skin (which was delicious), and a tiny bit of kimchee (dun ask me why kimchee in a jap restaurant, I'm as clueless.) We also ordered a plate of teriyaki chicken, bbq-ed squid, salmon wrapped sushi (with mayo topping) and gyoza!
We only ate 2 mouthfuls of rice ... rest of the space was reserved for the good food. Which we ate every single bit. Morever we sat by the window! A lot of passer-bys slowed down to STARE at what we were eating. Guess we were helping the restaurant do a lot of promotion sia. That last pic there is their form of a conveyor belt for their sushi. But they made it into a boat floating on water. It was darn cute!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We went to this shop near Asoke BTS station. Ambassador & Smart Fashion. But we LOVE the service and the pants I got tailored was a damn NICE fit. I have a problem with finding pants cuz of my stupid big butt. We were measured, fitted and our outfits were ready for collection in only 3 days. Fast sia!

A - MBK, a must go. But do remember that certain things there are a lot cheaper in wholesale Chinatown and Chatuchak market. I went here mainly for the 199Baht shoes (which I only found 1 suitable pair *sobs*) and the cheap restaurant food.
B - There was gonna be a pet show! But 28-31 july, I not around. At least on 31st there's a dog show at SG expo. Hee hee.
C - A fantastic balloon shop that we stumbled upon.
D - Even Ronald McDonald had to say hello the Thai way.
E - A token to use on the MRTA. Like our EZlink card one trip.
F - Boh liao picture hehe.
G - Mandarin hotel ashtray. Still make the design so nice.

It was fascinating to see sooo many weapons at ONE stall. All those guns looked soooo real. But they were only toys. The pellets if shot too close can still blind or even kill though. But those knives, daggers and other sharp weapons you see there are VERY real. Don't play play ah.

F - dog comb with a rubber handle grip

There should be a lot more but I didn't take photos and I'm too lazy to add, not to mention you all should be bored stiff from reading by now.

All in all I enjoyed myself. Weather wasn't too hot. Dry actually. My skin flaked A LOT! Last day there it rained.

Experienced my first foot massage. Not as painful as the chinese type. Heng ah! Feet felt like new after that.

Language was a HUGE barrier. Sure they understand things like numbers (prices), but tell them you want a different size, colour, or even similar designs they look at you like you just told them to F*** off. Oh ... and they treat the ang mohs there better loh! Guess they have more spending power and more willing to pay higher prices and us bargain hunting singaporeans. Heehee.

I'll miss the cheap food there. Sigh ... back to expensive hawker/food courts and home cooked maggi mee for me.

Little doggie cartoon postcards

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

What do you think of the idea? These are all drawn by me (note my little sig "esdee"), printed onto glossy paper too. Maybe thinking of doing a tiny online business with this. But of course this is not the final product. Just samples. I'm gonna be providing alittle "customization" service with the postcards.

So far this is the idea ...
- choose a doggie postcard
- choose what words you want beneath the card (number of letters limited)
- behind will look like a standard postcard
- top right corner the postage stamp placement
- bottom left corner a mini sized image of the doggie that was chosen
- then the layout of the cards can be chosen from a range of layouts provided, inclusive of doggie quotes.

What about the doggie tees that I talked about before? I'm still drawing. Have to redo all of them cause of the clarity when printed. When the set is finish, I will release postcards first and at the same time start to print tees. Price wise ... still dunno yet. Will have to calculate and weigh the input first before deciding on the cost.

But need quite a bit of capital for the tees ... I wonder if my parents will help me with that ... after all my dad just struck S$10,000 last weekend ... luck bastard.

I sms-ed back my mom after she told me of the good news, "Got good number never tell me!!! HRMP! I could use the extra $10,000." Hahahaha.

Back to the topic of shirts and postcards, so what do you all think? Nice idea? Feasible? I'm not doing this full time of course ... just a home-based tiny side business only.

Answers and more ...

Okay ... about the two "mystery" pictures that I posted er ... yesterday. Here's what they are.
a. The pills are ... *blushes* morning after pills ... seriously ... be safe. Don't want to have a big belly for my wedding dinner. The after effects are ... I can feel them bit ... grogginess and a want to sleep.
b. The black and yellow pole is NOT a pen holder. Come on! There's a guy's foot beside it! Another clue : the ball and grass are not real! Hehehe ... in fact they are a big sticker on the floor! It was an advertisement in the MRT train on the floor. Cool eh? Hee hee.
************************************************************************
PIGGIES!
Just bought a packet of those luminous shapes. And I just fell in love with the FLYING PIGGIES! Heehee ... now there's a problem ... where to stick them?

Bangkok trip confirmed!
Tickets booked. Going by Jetstar Asia. Although some friends have told me that it's not exactly comfy. Plus no food ... but it's only a 2 hours plus flight ... I'm sure I can be uncomfortable for that long. I can watch a movie longer that that with scrunched up legs behind the cushions of the seats of the people in front, while having to shift my head every once in a while cause of the lack of height that I have and the abundance in height the guy always seem to have seated in front of me. Plus I'm short! Hubby ... well ... er ... guess I'm thankful that massages in Thailand are quite cheap.
Staying at the Mandarin Hotel. We stayed there before and liked it. But then ... no internet for us for 4 days. I'll need to find some place to get my daily internet fix.
20th - 23rd July
Bangkok
Leave at 9am on Wed. Back in SG at 9pm on Saturday
*sobs* ... I'll be meeting SP night with the girls and pals from NTU on the 22nd!!! I want to party at Sentosa tooooooo!
************************************************************************
I went haywire while drawing again ... T_T

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm not putting up bigger versions of them ... cause I just felt ... wrong .. especially for the right one. *grabs the dagger and stabs my brain* For both pictures I screwed up the water! I still need to work on it. Forgot to put shadows for the feet area even though I did for her butt. And then now that I see it, she's sitting in mid water on nothing, which is not possible in her position. The water colour and the ripples need a lot of work too. Everyday there's something to learn.
LEFT PIC : She's wearing a black bikini, and dropping a DIAMOND into the water. I'd say the clouds are my fave part of the pic ... what a waste right?!
RIGHT PIC : I was SOOOO tempted to do something evil in here. Wanted bloody water instead but I know the sort of comments that would come from that. ("Period babe? Looks like it's serious.", or "Masturbation became a little bloody."
My hubby actually said that they looked like they were masturbating!!!! I gave him a hard thwack on the head after that.
************************************************************************

As I walked ...

I've been in a photo taking mood these past few days. As I walked along even a simple road, I don't look at my path but more at my surroundings. So many things to see, to capture. Too bad all I had in hand was my Samsung camera phone. Not very clear, but isn't life not precise in the first place. (excuses only lah)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Wondering why the same scene can give different colour tones? I'm wondering the same thing too.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The bright morning sun. It was about 7:50am when I took this. I KNOW that if only I had my Canon the picture would turn out soooo much nicer. Same goes for the picture below.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A very cool looking chinese temple. Just beside it is a mosque. Now how often would that happen in other countries. But you cannot see it in this pic though. The mosque is on the right side.

My block where I live in.

That shiny fake diamond circle is my new hp chain. Nice eh? Sorry bout the lack of clarity.
Do you know what those two pills are for?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Can you guess where this is??? Or what that black and yellow pole is from?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Muahahahaha ... BEEF HOR FUN! And I still didn't get a pic of the sambal sting ray leh! My dinner last night. SHOIK AH!

AT LAST! My new wedding band. It may be inexpensive and small, but now wearing it, I feel more like a married individual. I guess upon seeing the ring on my finger, it is more easily recognisable that I'm no longer available in the women market.
The next few important dates in my life :
- 3rd August'05 : Wedding gown and tea dress fitting session
- 3rd & 4th October'05 : Wedding photoshoot (indoor & outdoor)
- 7th January'06 : I'M A YEAR OLDER! Twenty five! OMG MIDDLE AGE!!!
- 9th January'06 : Hubby joins me in the middle age catergory.
- 27th January'06 : Tea ceremony and the all important WEDDING DINNER!

I think there's something wrong with me ...

Fully intended to draw a picture this afternoon of my back view struggling with my little Zhu Zhu while trying to bathe him. I got the sketch of the pose out and it still looked okay.
... but then ... I dunno was it really a change in my intention or soemthing possessed my hand. I started adding bits of lines here and there, the water was going somewhere else, my hand which was supposed to be grabbing my hair in frustration ended up just being splayed out ... and ... and ... ended up with ... THIS ... !!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?!?!
I even went and coloured it and gave her a bar of blue soap and a background! *stabs my dirty disgusting brain*

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Okay ... nudeness aside ... I think my feet proportions are WAY off. I made her have BIG FOOT feet! I seriously intended to clothed her and have something splashing and struggling in a big nice bathtub and loads of bubbles everywhere. *sniffles* This one is different from my usual clean style as you can compare. It looks ok ... but the real reason for it being sketchy is just plain because I was too darn lazy to clean up my lines hahaha.
And here's the little monster who splashed about in the bathroom and gave me a hell of a time blow-drying him, combing him and getting rid of all the tangles in his fur.

New Banner!

Look up folks! This is my new banner which I started doing at around 6am this morning ... Just finished it at ... 820am just now. Woohoo!

Sad to say the pose was kinda stolen, and I drew over the lines. The original picture's hair was a lot shorter ... so I had to give my character LONG hair extensions and added some curlies at the ends. The rest is all me ... my style ... my art. Wheee.

I did two versions ... one black, one white.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Gonna start a little art portfolio soon. I need to go out and buy a nice black file where I can slip my "works of art" into. Friend of mine gave me quite a bit of advice of how to go about it.

But then again he's earning like 3k+ POUNDS a month designing websites ... I can say after seeing his resume ... it's impressive. I felt soooo small ... but then I'll give it my all. If one day I could just be drawing for a living, that'll be like a dream come through ... next to opening up my own comic cafe of course. But then in Singapore, that's sooooooo impossible. Not much demand. Not much of a pay either. I'd still have to work full time in some office just to help pay the bills.

Any lobang for jobs (admin based, simple 9-5) for me? I can start after 3rd August.

Sweet Ass Guitars!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Saw these in a guitar shop ... B1 of Penninsula Plaza. Er ... wait ... is that the name of the building. All I know it's the building with the Excelsior Hotel. I took these pictures before they were opened. Then later at 2pm when I passed by there again, I noticed they took down these 4 guitars ... why I wonder? My hubby said maybe it's because they saw us taking pictures hahah. COPYRIGHT? As if I could even make a guitar in the first place. Oh well.
*******************************************************************************
Guess what this is.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Clue : See the name. It's not the actual item yet but this is the cert and collection reciept's envelope. Heheh.
Someone was feeling generous yesterday ... so I treated myself to a tiny gem. Will show on Thursday when I collect it.
(p.s to Lai Lai : without my "mao mao" finger.)

OMG ... that's it I'm stopping ...

I am gonna put a stop to my little GSS shopping spree now.

Just spent $100 on two pairs of jeans. OMG. I've never spent more than $30 for a pair and in this one shop at Parkway Parade shopping centre, I just spent $50 per pair and bought TWO PAIRS at one go!!! But they were so comfy and the fit was snug and I loved the colours and thread patterns. And it's usually very hard for me to find jeans that fit me nicely leh. That's why I liked.

The auntie who introduced me the jeans was sooo nice to me too. I couldn't help it. Usually once I see a tag like that I'll just leave, but she just say "try lah, won't hurt trying one. I sewed most of these jeans you know." That left me a little surprised and impressed and went in to try the jeans. She made me try like at least 6 pairs and wanted to help me match a belt and a top with it. But lucky I was "strong" enough to say "no thanks" and left the shop $100 poorer and 2 jeans richer. Haha. Auntie kept repeating that she's 60 but wearing bell bottoms and low rider jeans ... tell me that I'm still young must daring to wear more. She and my mom say the say thing sia. But I'm married liao leh. Hubby wants a more conservative me. My mom said I looking more and more like ah-soh (old auntie). *cries*

Here are the two jeans. I bought the left one cuz of the fit and the thread pattern on the back pockets. The right one had a very nice dark colour, not to mention the nice simple thread lines for the jeans too.

Just took this picture today. He ALWAYS lies down there while I use the computer. Guess he likes the cool marble floor.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I wanted this to be my new banner ... but I like the present one too much. Sigh. Guess I'll be throwing this into my doodle-bin, where I keep all my other doodles. Actual size is about 800pixels wide. Looks much better bigger. I feel like I lost a lot of details when I resized it. Bleah but that could just be me.

This is the initial drawing before I added clothes and eyes etc.

Now I'm wishing I have the slim bod and beautiful skin my cartoon "me" has. Sigh.

Weekly Report

Shopping this week
7 tops from Mango = estimate $100 in total
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

2 pieces from Forever 21 ... total $49.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Mom's complaining about the credit card bill liao hahahah. But ... but ... I still need heels!! And a nice handbag that can carry to clubbing and yet neat enough to put in a B5 sized paper.

Character Creation
I've been up to something too. Been drawing cute little characters for a friend of mine. And even better he's paying me for it! Woot! Will reveal after everything's finalised ... but that'll take a while ... hehe. Will post as soon as I can but ... meanwhile I'll try to draw others.

6 months without Yiling!
Yiling is going to Uk!! OMG for 6 months!! to WORK!! But but ... but! She's lucky. But I don't think I'll ever want to do that. A month away from hubby is bad enough. 6 months ... at least for her she doesn't have ties like me. She can still go where she pleases. I have to report everyday. Haha. Hope she's back in time for my wedding. But she cannot be around for the dress fitting ... it would have been fun.

BKK
Waiting for confirmation for my mini Bangkok trip with hubby this month. $299 per person for both tickets and hotel 4D3N is okay, right? Singapore already Great Singapore Sale shopping spree. I'll be getting another shopping spree in BKK ... muahahaha.

Health Report Card
To all my dear friends for asking about my health. Thanks. I'm a lot better now, as you can see from my shopping hahah. Just that I cannot last as long now. Legs get weak faster. Even when I get up in the mornings I feel more tired than usual, and the arm where the drip was inserted still feels weak. I've not dared to hang out clothes to dry because of this ... so scared.

The Bat!
I watched Batman Begins last night. SHOIK I TELL YOU! It's the best comic turn movie I've ever seen! It was more ... realistic and the end was a real twist. My hubby had to point out to me that certain scenes Rachel didn't wear a bra while certain scenes she did. Guh. Why would I care? I'm not gonna say more, dun wanna be accused of spoilers.

Who else but ...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
My sleepy little boy sleeping against me while I was watching TV. Hee hee.
