Hidden Spree

Hee hee this part of the blog I've only written in here and not in my Xanga cuz I know my hubby reads my Xanga.

He'll kill me that I bought the TWO TOPS that he disallowed me to buy from TopShop. Muahahaha~!

Oh yah ... and today I am supposed to be cramming. NOT SHOPPING! Tomorrow got an exam paper in the afternoon. At Orchard some more! Starhub Center ... no idea where's that. Gonna go an hour early to search and then maybe after my paper, hehe ... MORE SHOPPING!!! I cannot help myself cuz it's now ...
... THE GREAT SINGAPORE SALE ...
Went to Suntec today. Bought 2 tops, a comb, 2 magazines, take-away soup, and 2 onigiris. I forgot to go to City Hall to buy the pink Dream-Catcher earrings that I saw!!! *cries* I think I'll go again tomorrow after my paper. [1,2,5 and 6 bought today]

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

1 - TopShop spaghetti top with little laced front, $23
Do you believe that this is one of my most expensive spaghetti tops I've ever bought? All the rest are like ranges from $5 - $19, and they're mostly under $10.

Tip : Search in ebay and Yahoo! Auctions, plenty of low priced buys there.

2 - TopShop O-ring halter top, $19
I was hesitant about this one at first. But then I was feeling a little low from all that revision so I just heck cared and bought it to ... er ... reward myself HAHAH. As if I deserved it but then ... bleh.

3 - GG<5 brown striped top, $9
You know what was the previous price for this top?It was a whopping $39.95!!! And I got it for only $9!!! Muahahahah!!! I didn't even bother trying, and I got the LAST MEDIUM SIZED top!!! HAHAHAH! So happy all the way to the counter.

4 - B.U.M bag light brown, $5 (inclusive of $2.50 postage)
So technically I got it for only $2.50. Hee hee ... and I found it on Yahoo! Auctions. A real sweet deal. The condition as specified by the buyer was used, but when I got it, it felt so nice and soft and new! Yes can tell it's used a bit here and there, but it was relatively NEW considering what I saw in the picture that the seller posted. Hee hee, lucky I got it today. Was intending to buy a new bag tomorrow. Money saved!

5 - Pooh Bear yellow brush comb, $1.90
I just needed a brush that I could bring out in my little bag especially for clubbing nights. I didn't want to use that disgusting orange comb that gets lost every month. I wanted something cute. Hee hee.

6 - Shape and Cleo magazines
I'd give ANYTHING to look like these cover girls. Okay ... almost anything.
Washboard belly or at least a flatter tummy. C cups!!! I wanna look better in tops. Haiz ... looks like I'll have more time to do so after my exams ... hrmm ... a jogging regime maybe with hubby every morning. Hee hee.

I've seened some VERY interesting articles in my 2 magazines and it has invoked me to cast some of my er ... somewhat bias views on them hee hee. But I won't churn them all out in one post. I know you guys would puke from staring at the comp so much. But these are so far the articles that I found interesting. Will be posting my views on these "issues" for the next few posts. Like on a daily or every 2 days basis.

- Bikini Ready in 6 weeks
- Forbidden Foods You Should Eat
- Adult ADHD - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Golden skin, Tousled hair, "Wowza!" body
- "SEX? After I slay the dragon, can?" What to do when he prefers gaming to you

Pure Joy and Utter Despair

I just got the photos from the armor anniversary dinner 2 weeks ago. Hee hee nice? Forgive the poor quality. I was too lazy to plug in my scanner to scan the photos, so I used my digital camera to take the pictures again and transfer into my computer. Quite clear hor.
First and foremost I want to state very clearly ... no editing was done to the photos. All these are true blue me and Seng Wee. Heee hee. Dunno why some arm fat and some arms not. Most be the way I posed. Hee hee. But my darling hubby no matter what pose all look so cute and handsome. (anticipates bouts of laughter or puking from this comment.)
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Left : The smiles in this photos is the most radiant of the lot. Biggest too ... hehe check out my pearl whites thanks to the white flashes of light that almost blinded me.
Right : CLEAVAGE!!! OMG! That's was what my hubby told me.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Left : MY FAVOURITE PHOTO OF THE BUNCH!!! This photo actually makes me look slim! *happy happy happy*
Right : GUH! Double chin! Fat arm! But then ... it's all me! Hee hee. I must learn which poses not to do and which to do more. Must practice my smile for my wedding photoshoot too.
Okay now for the GOOD news and BAD news.
Yesterday me and my husband, Seng Wee, at last went to Orchard Hotel and booked our 40+ tables for the wedding dinner. Quite a lot of perks for just using the UOB credit card to pay.
  • free flow soft drinks, mixers and Chinese tea
  • free flow beer
  • free bottle of wine for every table booked
  • waiver of 1 table for 26 tables booked / waiver of 2 tables for 45 tables booked
  • waiver of corkage for hard liquor (duty paid & sealed)
  • 2 nights stay at bridal suite
Date : 27th Jan' 2006 Friday
Venue : Orchard Hotel Singapore
We left the hotel walking down Orchard Road, happily teasing each other with pokes. We look seemingly like a tipsy couple who had a little too much to drink, leaning on each other and sometimes letting out fits of laughter from our rough play. People were sure to think we're crazy. Took the MRT home, reached outside our flat, told his granny and aunts next door the good news ... then they said, ...
"Isn't it very near Chinese New Year?"
Now here's the "fantastic" part (said dripping with sarcasm) ... I found out that 29th Jan'2006 is Chinese New Year eve.
Seng Wee and I could practically see our happy little cloud thoughts of a big event with lots of friend and relatives toasting to a wonderful dinner, our little dreamy and slow paced quiet wedding suite ... SHATTER to a billion pieces. You have no idea how much I felt like crying then. It felt like falling from cloud nine to the ninth level of HELL! Actually no ... it felt more like falling from the sky and hitting the concrete asphalt HARD with every single piece of my being breaking into DUST.
HOW?! HOW?! HOW!!!!!!?????
Other Jan Fridays were not possible cuz 6th and 20th were fully booked while 13th was too ominous for our liking.
SW called his mother who kept nagging to change the date to AFTER CNY ... and gave us a list of dates which was either on a weekend or a non-Friday and which the earliest was only MARCH! I didn't want to wait til MARCH for the dinner. We've been saying we wanted to book the dinner since December 2004! SW gave up talking to her and tagged me for my turn at the phone. I tried very calmly to explain our want for January wedding dinner. But since our views didn't match, I guess my MIL gave up and told me, "Anything you guys want lah." Sigh.
So we're sticking the the 27th Jan 2006 date ... my biggest worries now ...
  • people (a lot) not going to turn up
  • complaints from guests about it being so near to CNY and disturbing them from CNY preparations

Still have 2 more papers to worry about before that ... sigh. 8th June faster come leh!!! Then I can be rid of exams and start worrying about other things.

List of things to do after exams :

  • get invitations cards done
  • contact bridal photo studio for outdoor + indoor photoshoot
  • get rates for tee-shirt printing
  • design "I Love My Dog" collection pictures
  • find out rates for copyrights to my pictures (if there's such a thing)
  • contact friend on designing online comic strips for kids <-- I think I'll enjoy this muchly
  • find a job <-- still not decided if full or part time
  • Go crazy clubbing with the girls!!!

Sigh ... hope things go well. I've to call my mom later to give her the "good" news.

... litte randoms of sd's mundane life ...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is my exam hall ... at Expo! Heheh ... a very intimidating sight right? There's about almost 2000 chair and tables in this hall. The left pic is only the front half of the hall ... cuz I was sitted right at the centre of the 3rd row, as you can see from the right pic. Hee hee. So you just imagine when the hall is full (not all the time) ... imagine the pressure you get from seeing all those other people with their heads down writing furiously away while you ponder why you even have the time to look up at other people's heads.

The club on the right is calledd DXO. It's beside the Esplanade opposite Marina Square. Quite a cool looking club but looks expensive and nobody was in. Guess it's too early. Er ... like only 9pm. Come to think of it ... that strip along the river is not a bad clubbing place. Saw quite a few classy places to eat, and then a few clubs, including the newly opened Onyx (previously known as Centro).
Oops ... er ... the pic on the left is just on the left of DXO. It's called Glutton Bay. Today it's been officially opened for 7 days! Heehee. My friend has a store there selling Yong Tau Hu. Healthy eating. There's other stuff from what I remember like ... dim sum, prawn mee (this one is damn nice), satay, drinks stall, roti prata, etc.

My hubby wanted to kill me when I brought him here. Hehehe ... CARPARK SALE!!! G2000, U2, Fox (FMen, FWomen, FKids), Nike. This is at Wing Tai along Tampines Road. Just to GET IN we had to QUEUE!!!!! GUH!!! And before that we walked like half a kilometre from where we parked (an ulu residential estate) to get to Wing Tai. In there, we were greeted by the long snaking queue which stretched all the way outside along the road.
After that queue, we were welcomed by sweating heads, big butts, shoving elbows and grubby hands found all the way in the little area filled with big "containers" of clothings. Lucky for me I'm used to these things, my hubby was not. He waited outside for me. And when he was inside for that little while ... he didn't see a single thing that he liked. For me ... I saw plenty, problem was LACK OF SIZES. They were either too big or too small. Finding a 'M' size in there is like finding a needle in a haystack. Guess I was darn lucky, I found 3 'needles'. A nice pair of blue boy cut undies $6, a sweet looking v-neck blouse (U2) $6, and a cap-sleeve blue-white striped tee $6 too.
Hee hee ... I actually found another spaghetti top but I couldn't buy cuz both pieces that I found, or should I say, both pieces which I could ONLY find, were snagged quite badly. Sigh. Nike was a little ex for me. Garish colours (lime green, orange, bright pink) and funny cuttings were not my style, even though at $20-$30 they were a steal. But I don't think I wanna walk around looking like a fruit.

I just couldn't resist taking a shot of this little display. Otah, fishcake, crabsticks, etc are what they are. But they were all skewered like little multi-coloured popsicle sticks. Hee hee ... so cute.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I GOT THIS TODAY!!!! Exchange 3 boxes of Kellogs + S$8 for this cute little R2D2 container!!! Yes it's just a plastic container .... but it was too adorable to resist. The other two containers up for exchange were a little creepy for my tastes, a CP3O head and a Darth Vadar head. I'm gonna wash up my little R2D2 later and fill it with ... with ... I dunno yet ... I'll think of something.

How can I leave him out of my blog hehehe. CARROT!!!!

A Night To Remember

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At the door all dressed and ready for my hubby's annual Armor Anniversary dinner. Yes every year I have to do this. This it the third year.

1st year they had an MIB theme. 2nd year was REALLY formal dining in where table etiquette was hell. So many forks, spoons and knives!!! But this year was super casual ... well for the others at least. I wanted to look nice, not drop dead gorgeous, just nice.

My hubby's group's theme was Taiwan. Chinese costumes that reminded me of the Axe gang of Kung Fu hustle appeared in the group.

Other groups were India, Thailand, and the MOST casual of all, Australia which had a cowboyish theme. EVERYONE in that group came in JEANS!!! DAMN!!! But I saw a number of sporting people sporting cute plastic cowboy hats and even some going all the way of wear chaps to look the part hehehe. Some people from the India group had black bandanas on their heads ... they looked more Saudi Arabian then Indian hehe.

I hate my FAT arms! Hahahah!

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!
The lighting was JUST right and gave us such a soft feel. *gushes*
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

One of the nice "before dinner" activities provided were two talented cartoonists. See the picture he drew! Hahah ... I liked the way I look but hubby complained he was drawn too fat. We should have exchanged chins hehehe. This picture is now "magnetted" to our fridge and I smile everytime I see it.

I just couldn't get enough of taking pictures of Seng Wee (in case you didn't know, my hubby) and his 2 comrades! The cartoonist drew ALL of them holding axes in their cartoon pics which was hilarious! And you see the guy with the bird cage. Don't play play hor. He's a major. But I love that he dressed the part of a big boss! There's a nicer pic of big boss and the 3 axe bodyguards, but it's in someone else's camera. But the big boss is a very nice guy who loved joking with us.

But the overall theme of the dinner was ... RETRO! hahaha ... shaggadelic baby! Even the darn menu was austin power-ed theme. Forgive me but I cannot remember all.
Fook Me Fook You (cold appetizers)

Shark's with Lasar Beams in Red Soup (sharks' fin soup which was green ... how odd!)

Roasted Fat Bastard (fried chicken)

Mix Goldmember with Beansprouts Agent (mushroom with veggies)

Foxy Cleopatra's

Shall We Shag Now or Shag Later

Mini Me (hong kong noodles)

Yummy Nuts (Orh Nee)

There's a lot more photos but in other people's cameras and we also took a couple of ... couple shots which we have to go choose next week. Heehee. I wonder how they turn out ... hope I remembered to suck in my belly. Which reminds me of this little clip ...
SUCK IT IN!!!

Corners in the house

... are not spared from Zhu's teething. Hahaha.

Zhu papa (I mean my hubby) has given up trying to stop him cuz fixing the corners is super expensive. And since rarely people look down at house corners ... it should not be a problem.

Well .. Zhu realizing this ... has now really gone overboard. Look at the photo proof!

Don't ask me how he bit the one at the bathroom ... his face so flat still can make a concave hole there. Sheesh.

Sigh ... *shakes head*

1/3 Bad, 2/3 Good

It is so much easier doing something bad than to do something good. But no matter I thought every person would have known what are the limits of the online world.
I've been to all sorts of forums, active, quiet, huge, and some even with people of ALL sorts you'll be just frightened. The worst I've seen is this huge forum called GaiaOnline. But do not mistake me, I still love GaiaOnline. It's the SMALL SMALL TINY percentage of arseholes in there who are just out to make lives of others MISERABLE. They post with the sole intent of causing harm, hurt and anger to others. Either through vulgar words full of malice, posting of negative graphical pictures, lying, cheating etc, they do evil.
But then I thought it's because it being an INTERNATIONAL forum, and having almost 2 million members, which means even 0.01% is already 200 people. ANd if these 200 people ACTIVELY get up to mischief ... moderators like myself are SUPER busy. I get like at least 1 scam report and several harrassment reports a day. Thankfully I'm now on a break. My eyes have been spared TONNES of goatse, tubgirl* and non stop complaints. (* DO NOT GO AND SEARCH UP THESE TWO TERMS! You'll regret it for the rest of your life!)

BLACK BLACK HEART

Singapore forums I've been to have been nothing but politeness, civilness and everyone is friendly never wanting to step on others' toes. BUT ... haiz. Just from the past 2 days alone I've been the listening ear of a friend who never posted to defend herself, while I've to stare as a thread exploded from 1-20+ pages in only an afternoon with most posts from 3 persons accusing someone of theft. I didn't care who was in the right or wrong, what I saw was, vulgarities, uncivil behaviour that similar to a hooligan or someone of unsavoury status, and shooting the accused without proof expect words from their own mouths saying it happened. This thread is just one of the many posts which has been posted with the intent of causing distress to another member/s of the forum. Already they had caused the banning of another party who thought that the case was already settled but the group brought it up again with words of threat. You can say they love making a scene and creating mountains out of molehills.

Part of my Complaint PM :
"Please analyse this growing situation of "bishing" and "uncivil" behaviour from members. It is considered quite unsightly and breeds a very unwelcoming feel to the forums for both current and new members."
I just couldn't stand reading such posts anymore from SO CALLED CIVIL SINGAPOREANS (who sadly are fellow dog lovers) so I sent a complaint to both the admin and general mod. Action was taken swiftly and they were warned and their thread blocked. But they were unrepentant of their uncouth behaviour and continued their "fun", that's what they called it, FUN! Sheesh. Such sadists they are!!! Admin banned all their ASSES!!!! HAHAHA! But even the accused was banned. I cannot say the accused was totally innocent. But the focus here was not the fact of right or wrong, but of their behaviour. Guess the parties had their part to play in this fiasco. I wish I could post what the great admin posted but the thread is gone. But I remember it started off as "I cannot believe that such behaviour exists ..."
:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:
Okay bad things aside ... here's what I've been doing these few days. Well, beside studying for my exams which start next week.
(Yan, HX, Cyn, PS : Thank you for tempting me with thoughts of clubbing. It's nice poring over my books while I think about you all enjoying yourselves on the dancefloor. You all wait! Once my papers over I am gonna jio you all out EVERY WEEK!)
I've been also gathering info stuff for my wedding dinner. Hee hee. So far here are the pending details.
Date : Friday or Sunday in January
I want 6th Jan or 8th ... just because it's VERY near our birthdays (7th and 9th Jan)
Venue : Orchard Hotel (most likely liao)
Initially we wanted Sentosa. Sigh but that little dream bubble has popped. They do not have the important points that we want. No free flow beer, HAVE TO PAY for WINE corkage like $25 per bottle!!!, and seriously parking arrangements is hellish! I kept thinking how to get round that but ... nothing can be done. Hotel also cannot help much.
But Orchard Hotel provides free flow beer and a bottle of red wine free for each table confirmed. Hee hee ... guys and gals, drink as much as you like! Hard liquor is also free corkage so I'll be bringing my hubby's stash of alcohol. My dad is stocking up too, hehehehe.
So people har!! My DEAR friends hor!!! You know who you are!! NTU GIRLS AND GUYS!!! YAN, VA, YAYA, MICH, LING, PS, ADE, FIFI, JAQ etc. You all better MAKE YOURSELF FREE HOR!!!! Cannot reject my RED BOMB!!! Muahahahaha!!!
This Saturday me and hubby going to Orchard Hotel for a little Wedding Fair. Hee hee. For $20nett per couple. Got a mini bridal gowns fashion show, lucky draw and high tea!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I've also been surfing around for wedding designs. Hee hee.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I love the straps and the first two and the front cutting on that 3rd pic.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I cannot decide which type of skirt I like!!! I love BOTH the poofy wide skirt and yet love the long flowy close cut skirt! Maybe I'll do both! muahaha. Poor hubby. *evil grin*
A few more designs that I love!!!

i hate dressing up

again ... and again. I will never satsify him no matter how hard I try to dress up to his liking.

13th May, he has to attend another one of those damn armor anniversary dinners with a partner.

Must dress nice. Lady like. Pretty.

Qualities that I never have. And never will no matter how much I try.

I have a nice black dress. Formal enough, simple enough, and cheap enough for him (as it was paid from his pocket). I even searched for cheap enough trinkets of a necklace, earrings and bracelets to just accessorise the plain dress. To make it look nicer and more suitable for a dinner.

I tried on the whole outfit for him to ... have a quality check. He looked at me. His expression was that of disappointment and disgust. And it not only chilled me with hurt, but pierced my heart with dispair.

My search for something decent starts again.

Or maybe I should rid myself of this frustration and just tell him to find another girl worthy for him to hold his head up proudly for.

I'm sick of this ...

Birthday Party for a Shih Tzu called Hunk

Hee hee I had a terrific time yesterday at a little old shih tzu's birthday party. He's 11 years old. His girlfriend and partner, Sasha, is 11-1/2 years old. Both are great beauties.

A lot of shih tzus were there yesterday. Too bad they didn't take a picture of a big group. Sigh.

This is all I got. I got more but then more repetitive.

Mommy! When are we going? I'm all dolled up and ready!

The dog food spread!!! THe agar agar and the chocolate cake are the only human food on that table.

Only problem with the place yesterday, too bloody hot. But that's the fault of the weather. Sigh.
