TIRED!

Please ignore my very lethargic face and messy hair. That smile was forced too. It was already 5plus in the evening, and I've been on the go since 6plus in the morning.

6plus - send hubby out
7plus - laundry work
1130am - left the house to go to SLF building to collect WKRZ goodie bag that I won, and also to collect the free bags, itenary from tour agency.
0130pm - reached marcus house, found out that cannot bring meat in (religion reason) so ended up eating alone in my car with only my radio to accompany me.
0200pm - went up at last to WATCH and "play around" with the glasses stock that they now have.
0400pm - left for bugis village
0430pm - ate KFC and then went a little window shopping at Bugis Junction and ICON.
0700pm - reach home to finish up left over housework ... quite a bit.

...

Sorry to say that ICON is a very dead place. Nothing really special about the shops (except the one make up shop which I like) and then like half the shops were closed ... at 6PM!!! And not much customers walking around. Sad.

...

Okay about teh glasses ... it's not mine of course. But really funky right. Got plenty more where that came from.

Hubby and two other partners are opening up a frames (specs) shop next month. Will announce it as soon as it's opened ... photos and everything.

Need new funky frames and just nice new pair of specs or even shades??? LOOK FOR ME!

IKEA & NATAS

This morning I went to Sungei Gudong camp to pick up my hubby. On the way there I have to drive by this long road lined by cemetaries. Today being the Qing Ming Jie, A LOT OF PEOPLE were there. It was really ... shocking.

Smoke was everywhere, burning of joss sticks, joss paper and all sorts of offerings by the families. They were there to pay their respects and "shao mu" (sweep the tomb aka clean up)

There were so many cars that traffic police had to be there to control the flow of cars.

This were all happening at 8AM!!!

Okay okay back to MY life now. GUH.

Next stop IKEA!!! We were early, ate breakfast at BK. Then went in to walk walk.

Ikea was fun for a while when I tinkered with all the little new gadgets. I was fantasizing my future home design there already. Hee hee. Soon soon ... 3 years more.

Went home and napped ... er .. kinda ... with my two furkids constantly jumping around me and pushing again my legs and butt to wake me up. I barely got any sleep.

Worse was when I had to get ready to go to Suntec for the NATAS Fair. My hair was a disarry!!!!

My fringe was puffing up on the left side, and the back of my hair looked like it was suffering from some static currents!!! A hair rubber band and some wax solved it ... a bit.

Sad to say we were a bit late in reaching NATAS ... around 7+pm. Most of the goodies were gone ... sniffles. Oh well. At least now ...

... I GOT A TOUR PACKAGE TO CHINA!!!

Muahahaha. We were deciding between Taiwan or Shanghai/Jiangnan for 8 Days. I wanted Taiwan cause of the iternary including a beautiful HOT SPRINGS!!! But hubby preferred China. Since both of us haven't been to China, that was what we chose.

Guess what ... we're leaving ... on the 8th of APRIL!!! Which is like in ... less than TWO WEEKS!

Wah liew ... advise please!! What cheap stuff to buy there????

another pair gone

*(insert vulgar expletives here)*

My dog, Zhu Zhu, chewed on the strap of my favourite pair of heels.

Before I left the house wearing that pair, I gave him a warning :

"If my heel strap breaks before I get home from work, you are in deep trouble."

At work, halfway going to the washroom ...

... it broke.

hilton wedding dinner

Mother was complaining about the dirty look that I had going for the car. Whee car wash time. Manual car washes are so much cleaner than the old machine types.

New look of Kenny Roger's at Marina Square. More white cleaner look. And no need to line up to order! Can just sit down and order and they'll SERVE you .. so much better. I liked the red lights that they cleverly made from red bottles.

Went to the Hilton Hotel for a wedding dinner.

Very red their wedding. But it's a nice romantic passion red, not like the garish chinese new year red that my hotel was offering to us forcing us to take the nicer white theme.

The guests had plain tables. But the souvenier was adorable. I almost chose this one for my wedding too but went with the more "fun" gift of one in a set of four. Kekek.

I'm glad to say I enjoyed myself tremendously at the wedding. Good company cause the whole table I knew them. Chattered a lot that I worried after the dinner whether was I a little TOO chattery.

Talked about stuff from clubbing, army stuff, buying houses, a teacher's life, to my teacher friend's getting beaten up by mistake. Yes ... by mistake!!! He has a scar on his face to remember that by. Apparently he and his friend got beaten up being in the crossfire of two gangs fighting. UNLUCKY SIA!!! The two gangs found out that they had accidently involved the two innocents but I dunno what happened in the end.

Everytime I read this story I cry ...

.
.
.

On my wedding day, I carried my wife in my arms. The bridal car stopped in
front of our one-room flat. My buddies insisted that I carry her out of the
car in my arms. So I carried her into our home. She was then plump and shy.
I was a strong and happy bridegroom.

This was the scene of ten years ago.

The following days were as simple as a cup of pure water: we had a kid, I
went into business and tried to make more money. When the assets were
steadily increasing, the affections between us seemed to ebb. She was a
civil servant. Every morning we left home together and got home almost at
the same time. Our kid was studying in a boarding school.

Our marriage life seemed to be enviably happy. But the calm life was more
likely to be affected by unpredictable changes.

Dew came into my life.

It was a sunny day. I stood on a spacious balcony. Dew hugged me from
behind. My heart once again was immersed in her stream of love. This was
the apartment I bought for her.

Dew said, You are the kind of man who best draws girls eyeballs. Her words
suddenly reminded me of my wife. When we just married, my wife said, Men
like you, once successful, will be very attractive to girls. Thinking of
this, I became somewhat hesitant. I knew I had betrayed my wife. But I
couldn t help doing so.

I moved Dew s hands aside and said, You go to select some furniture, O.K.?
I ve got something to do in the company. Obviously she was unhappy, because
I had promised her to go and see with her. At the moment, the idea of
divorce became clearer in my mind although it used to be something
impossible to me.

However, I found it rather difficult to tell my wife about it. No matter
how mildly I mentioned it to her, she would be deeply hurt. Honestly, she
was a good wife. Every evening she was busy preparing dinner. I was sitting
in front of the TV. The dinner was ready soon. Then we watched TV together.
Or, I was lounging before the computer, visualizing Dew s body. This was
the means of my entertainment.

One day I said to her in a slight joking way, suppose we divorce, what will
you do? She stared at me for a few seconds without a word. Apparently she
believed that divorce was something too far away from her. I couldn t
imagine how she would react once she got to know I was serious.

When my wife went to my office, Dew had just stepped out. Almost all the
staff looked at my wife with a sympathetic eye and tried to hide something
while talking with her. She seemed to have got some hint. She gently smiled
at my subordinates. But I read some hurt in her eyes.

Once again, Dew said to me, He Ning, divorce her, O.K.? Then we live
together. I nodded. I knew I could not hesitate any more.

When my wife served the last dish, I held her hand. I ve got something to
tell you, I said.

She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.
Suddenly I didn t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what
I was thinking. I want to divorce. I raised a serious topic calmly.

She didn t seem to be much annoyed by my words, instead she asked me
softly, why? . I m serious. I avoided her question. This so-called answer
turned her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are
not a man!

At that night, we didn t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she
wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly
give her a satisfactory answer, because my heart had gone to Dew.

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that
she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced
at it and then tore it into pieces. I felt a pain in my heart. The woman
who had been living ten years with me would become a stranger one day. But
I could not take back what I had said.

Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to
see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce
which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer.

A late night, I came back home after entertaining my clients. I saw her
writing something at the table. I fell asleep fast. When I woke up, I found
she was still there. I turned over and was asleep again.

She brought up her divorce conditions: she didn t want anything from me,
but I was supposed to give her one month s time before divorce, and in the
month s time we must live as normal life as possible. Her reason was
simple: our son would finish his summer vacation a month later and she didn
t want him to see our marriage was broken.

She passed me the agreement she drafted, and then asked me, He Ning, do you
still remember how I entered our bridal room on the wedding day?
This question suddenly brought back all those wonderful memories to me. I
nodded and said, I remember . You carried me in your arms , she continued,
so, I have a requirement, that is, you carry me out in your arms on the day
when we divorce. From now to the end of this month, you must carry me out
from the bedroom to the door every morning.

I accepted with a smile. I knew she missed those sweet days and wished to
end her marriage with a romantic form.

I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and
thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she does, she has to face the
result of divorce, she said scornfully. Her words more or less made me feel
uncomfortable.

My wife and I hadn t had any body contact since my divorce intention was
explicitly expressed. We even treated each other as a stranger. So when I
carried her out for the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped
behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense
of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked
over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly,
Let us start from today, don t tell our son. I nodded, feeling somewhat
upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for bus, I drove
to office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my
chest. We were so close that I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I
realized that I hadn t looked at this intimate woman carefully for a long
time. I found she was not young any more. There were some fine wrinkles on
her face.

On the third day, she whispered to me, The outside garden is being
demolished. Be careful when you pass there.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I seemed to feel that we were
still an intimate couple and I was holding my sweetheart in my arms. The
visualization of Dew became vaguer.

On the fifth and sixth day, she kept reminding me something, such as, where
she put the ironed shirts, I should be careful while cooking, etc. I
nodded. The sense of intimacy was even stronger.

I didn t tell Dew about this.

I felt it was easier to carry her. Perhaps the everyday workout made me
stronger. I said to her, It seems not difficult to carry you now.

She was picking her dresses. I was waiting to carry her out. She tried
quite a few but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, All my
dresses have grown fatter. I smiled. But I suddenly realized that it was
because she was thinner that I could carry her more easily, not because I
was stronger. I knew she had buried all the bitterness in her
heart. Again, I felt a sense of pain. Subconsciously I reached out a hand
to touch her head.

Our son came in at the moment. Dad, it s time to carry mum out. He said. To
him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had been an essential part
of his life. She gestured our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I
turned my face because I was afraid I would change my mind at the last
minute. I held her in my arms, walking from the
bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my
neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly, as if we came back to
our wedding day. But her much lighter weight made me sad.

On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our
son had gone to school. She said, Actually I hope you will hold me in your
arms until we are old.

I held her tightly and said, Both you and I didn t notice that our life was
lack of such intimacy.

I jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any
delay would make me change my decision. I walked upstairs. Dew opened the
door. I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I won t divorce. I m serious.

She looked at me, astonished. The she touched my forehead. You got no
fever. She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I can
only say sorry to you, I won t divorce. My marriage life was boring
probably because she and I didn t value the details of life, not because we
didn t love each other any more. Now I understand that since I carried her
into the home, she gave birth to our child, I am supposed to hold her until
I am old. So I have to say sorry to you.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed
the door and burst into cry. I walked downstairs and drove to the office.

When I passed the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet for my wife
which was her favorite. The salesgirl asked me to write the greeting words
on the card. I smiled and wrote, I ll carry you out every morning until we
are old.

St Pat's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!

Saw this poor little bunny in the pet shop at Parkway Parade there. I noticed it was missing something ... it's EARS!!! Then I thought it must be tucked away somewhere but don't have leh!!! OMG it looked so ... pathetic. I think it will not live long either. Sigh. Poor little bunny.

shopping again ... >.<

The interview yesterday. Almost 100% I won't get it. They wanted an accounting background, which I sadly lacked. I'm so tempted to get a little course on accounting just so that it'll be easier for me to find some sort of office based job. Sigh.

Afternoon was spent shopping around Orchard Road, mainly at Far East Plaza. A little splurge but oh well.

I'll be wearing that dress for a wedding that I'm going to this Sunday. Now all I need to to dig into my little jewellery box to find the right accessories.

Feeling fresher

Heehee yah lah ... I cut my fringe. A really refreshing feeling.

Ignore the "before" picture's white look ... I overdid the flash at that time.

Hrmm I wonder if I can use this for a resume pic. Looks good enough. Kekekeke.

Oh ya ... tomorrow morning I got an interview ... wish me luck.

there is no egg

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

There's no mention that Humpty Dumpty is an egg ... so why the pictures ALWAYS depict an egg. He could very well be a vase or something just as breakable.

Heard this on Class 95 yesterday morning. I've never thought of it this way. Hrmmm.

BBQ

I had a BBQ ... AT HOME!!!

Shoik right!!! Hahaha ... we basically had ...
- chicken fillet
- otah
- hot dogs
- taiwan sausages
- salmon
- black pepper pork chops
- mussels

Now I feeling damn shoik and drinking my Vanilla Coke. Couldn't finish everything. Hee hee.

IT show @ Suntec

Me and hubby arrived at Suntec at 10plus. Thinking that it's opening at 11am. But then it actually opens at 12pm. So we went to BK to get breakfast. When we got back to the convention hall tower, this is the crowd we saw at 11.30am! KIASU IS IT?!

And then when it was 12pm, the patrons at the front literally RAN INTO THE HALL! What's up!??!?! Freebies at the sexy girls' booth? Bleah!

In the end it was not THAT bad of a crowd as the last one we went to. But then again maybe it's because we went early.

This is a FANTASTIC ad for the Maxonline paper bag!!1 I was unable to get hold of any of them. *sniffles*

For hubby ... he say easier for him to printer paper documents. Won't waste so much ink.

Left one ... a little label printer. He printed a label and stuck it to my mirror. He wanted to print "I am pretty." Hahaha but he mispelled "pretty". Missing a "r". I thought he did it on purpose.

Ooh ... do you see what's that on the right??? I only paid $145 for 1GB.

And no ... it's not the iNano. It's called the iSlim. Hahah ... Nano's pirated version!!!! I'm gonna go get it masked up so that it would not look so ... fake. Functions and controls are a little tricky though. But it gives me what I want ... mp3s on the go.

Free leh! But then not to say that useful for me. Hubby's bringing it to use in his office.

UOB credit card we spent = $169 (Xerox printer) + $649 (Olympus camera) = $800+. Hee hee.

My most ... ex buy at Suntec. Olympus slim camera. 7.1 megapixel I'm LOVING it's slim body and huge viewscreen. Damn ... compared to my HULK like Canon Powershot G6 (which is also 7.1 megapixels), this is like a real LADIES' TOY. Hee hee. I'm gonna be bringing it out in my handbag everyday now. Hee hee.

What I find neat is the tiny card reader. Cause Olympus uses xD card ... more ex. But I also have a 518mb memory card and another battery. Not so bad. Got free mini tripod, dry cabinet, and also a Adobe Elements program. Not bad at all. The girl who sold me was really chirpy too. Made me feel good to buy from her.

Actually I went off to look at other cameras ... but I went back to her. I purposely had to go round and round the Olympus booth to find her. Guess she was happy to see us. Hee hee.

stuffies

This is the window of the japanese restaurant beside the toilet just at the top of one of the escalators in City Link.

I have to say the shops at the ICON building behind Bugis Junction is really ... unique. But the people do not go there much, and access to the shops is not that easy as there is only ONE LIFT and everything else are staircases (which are not short and very noisy for those girls with heels).

But then the stuff there are really more ... individualistic in a sense. One particular shop caught my eye there. Makeup Bar. They provided make up, hair styling, manicures and pedicures. This is PERFECT and so AFFORDABLE especially if you need something for a dinner formal, or just a simple special party night out!

Day Make Up is only $10!!! Night one is $18.
Hair (curls, tie, bundling, blow) is about $8 onwards.

I'm gonna try their make up services, and maybe even hair services, the next time I go for a wedding dinner or one of hubby's "formal" army dinners.

My parents, hubby and I had a nice talk about ... owning a business. Hubby is most probably going into one with his best friend. (Will tell you all more about it when things are more concrete.)

My father started his own business with 2 friends and he has been thriving since. He encourages my hubby and I to do it. To try and experience it. Of course there are risks. Thats why I'm really looking for a job now. I cannot be doing part time at $4 an hour forever! My mom will kill me for wasting her money sending me to Uni! Hahaha!

Life Slowly Draining Away

This is an image sort of ... a renewal of an old one (shown below) that I drew eons ago. I drew the old one in 2004 Sept. Woah!

bugis fun

I should have just bought this pair when I saw it at Bugis Junction today. Sigh. Now as I look at it, the more I regret not buying them.

Initially I was just trying the top on for fun. Who knew that it would end up looking so cute ... er ... in a decent sort of way. I always have a thing for pretty knits. Hee hee.

Yeah my previous cute pink butterflies manicure is gone ... in a week no less. Hahah all the more reason to go for another manicure.

I did a white french manicure with a purple base this time. I was going for the ... weird look. Hahaha.

I took this picture from a coffee shop toilet. Hard to believe hor? It's one of those outdoor coffeeshops with people who shout the drinks orders. MILO JIT PUEH!!! (one cup of milo). But the toilet was spacious and SO CLEAN! Surprise surprise. =)

Another update in my doodle blog. 2nd sample set of flowers that my friend requested for. Even in this set she doesn't see anything she likes ... picky picky.

The first one who guesses accurately what is this a picture of will get a free drawing from me. Hee hee. Hurry hurry! Hahaha!

Hrmm this should be a fun way of motivating my readers to post ... keke.

bibi big girl part 2

Bibi's Heat

Okay bought the damn panties for her liao. Got pad some more!!! *faints* Stupid Bibi, I wonder why she still hasn't fainted from her own stinkiness. I'm dying here liao loh!

But she damn poor thing lah. Whole day I see she sooo lethargic. Even early this morning when we go out, she's usually following me and hubby all around the house while we did our daily morning routine. This morning she was like ... refused to leave from the spot on our bed where she was lying down. I had to carry her all the way to the playpen. Poor little girl.

I won something from 91.3!

Ooh ... btw ... when at work today, I usually listen to WKRZ 91.3. Just so happened to be listening as the DJ was complaining that no one got the answer to a certain song group correct yet. Guess who's the group. She played 3 short clips from the group's songs and then gave clues.

First clue = Begins with an S (no one knows)
Second clue = One word (still no one gets it correct)
Third clue = First half is "Shape"

I got it!!! Kekeke ... "Shapeshifter" was the answer cause I heard that name mentioned on radio before. But the funniest part is when I zoned out during the conversation with the DJ. Before I was put on air ... I didn't know I got through till I saw that my phone call was picked up as the seconds were ticking away.

I WAS LIKE OH MY GOD OMG OMG!!!!! My first time I call through and WIN SOMETHING LEH!!!! My heart was going into SUPER HYPER mode.

I told her my answer and then she congratulated me on being correct. She took down my particulars and kinda chatted a bit to help me relax I guess. Then she told me I was to be on air in like ... 2 mins. I was like WTF?! I thought it was gonna be like yes I won thank you and she'll just announce who won. I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD TO GO ON AIR!!

Then on air ... I was like an idiot. We chatted about going to the clubs with the girls and why it is not as fun to dance with the guys compared to with the girls. Both of us agreed that we girls dance SO MUCH BETTER. Guys are like so awkward while the girls just know how to get with the beat ... hehe.

Retro I told her was our favourite. And I almost wanted to blurt out Zouk Mambo! Hahah but I didn't but went quiet blank instead! HAHAH SO STUPID OF ME!

But oh well ... I got the answer right and won myself a desktop CD of Destiny's Child. Not a big prize but I'll still love it all the same (being a Destiny's fan after all).

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!

Woohoo ... super cute mickey stuff!! I simply had to get the shoes! My first pair of COVERED SHOES in like .. hrmm ... I think almost 5 years. Have not worn covered shoes since after junior college! Woah!

I simply fell in love with the colour and the prints ... not forgetting the bright pink laces ... got white laces if i want to change .. but who would want to change it!!! HAHAHA!

The tube top ... I wearing S cause the M size felt a little loose on top. S tighter = more secure hahaha.

The last pic of the rose brooch and earrings were bought from the little Bugis shop that I'm working at. Really nice loh! I've already bought 2 brooches and 2 pairs of earrings from the shop liao. I wanna buy the clothes but hubby always gave me a "heck care" attitude whenever I ask him nice or not. This is his way of saying "Don't buy lah."

The bracelet is from Seiyu ... only $2 ... it's a SUPER STEAL loh!

Little tiny samples that I did for my friend. Another set coming soon.

Tomorrow is a busy day for me.
- call the vet to check if can schedule both Bibi's and Zhu's yearly vaccination on the same day.
- call BenQ to ask what's wrong with the damn TV (it konked out without warning).
- bring photo albums for mom to see (oh yah actual day photos and DVDs are here).
- gym at night.
- try to squeeze in time for a manicure (but then again not a good idea since I'm going for gym).
- apply for hubby his advanced theory test date (need to find that damn basic pass paper first).
- mop whole house and change bedsheets.

Sigh.

Bibi is a big girl now

What's worse than one female having her period ... TWO!!!

Yes my Bibi ... the little girl puppy of 8 months old this coming saturday ... is HAVING HER PERIOD aka HAVING HER HEAT. OMG!!!!

I was wondering over last night's red drops on the floor. I brushed it off thinking that my blur hubby spilled some red wine and didn't clean up.

Then I found Bibi's ... er ... "mei mei" (down there) to be a little swollen and a little reddish brown residue can be found there. This was only discovered this morning when I picked up my little girl.

WORST OF ALL SHE KEEPS LICKING HER MEIMEI!!!!

I know it's a bitch's instinct but eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww ...!

Later I'm running out to get her some panties and some form of doggie sanitary pads or pampers. Friends have advised me to get baby pampers and cut a hole for her tail. But then again her period comes only twice a year (THANK GOD!!!!) ... so I guess it's okay to pay a little more to buy the proper though more expensive doggie ones.

I've to separate my Zhu from her too. My fellow doggie friends have said that when horny ... they'd do ANYTHING to reach the female. Even scale six foot fences to just get to the bitch, so my initial plan of a play pen separation is futile. Oh ... my ... god ...! Okay I know my Zhu can't even jump 1 foot ... but better to be safe than sorry. Will be putting him with my ah ma next door when nobody's at home.

Her first time will last around 3 weeks ... my hubby is SOOOO gonna freak. I better try to make it as clean as possible. Guess I'll be officially changing diapers for a while now.

Training to be a mommy ... BLEAH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
