Merry Christmas ... a lot has happened.

Wednesday night (5 days til Christmas)

Mambo Night!! I was humming retro tunes all day at the office and when I thought no one was looking, I did a little shimmy of my hips while humming to the song "That Thing You Do" by the Wonders.

My colleague SP saw!!! Paiseh sia ... haha ... heng no photo evidence.

Mambo was packed as usual. Sigh ... But packed better than not packed ... like that then got mood.

Heng no drunk freaks that night. I hate it when drunks come up to the platforms and act like idiots!!!! Some girls especially nowadays just come up and start dancing like as it there was a pole there and she was some stripper wanting the guys to look up her skirt. Sheesh.

Thursday (4 days til Christmas)

This night I was invited to a Networking Night for Planners by Primavera. The guy, Kevin, who invited me was a real sweetie. He sent me home that night as a promise for my acceptance of his invitation. Cute car. A red Mazda 2, hatchback. I like! Good thing too cause I knew I'd be drinking.

Initially I was shy. Cause I was thinking the people all around me were experienced people with plenty of years under their belt.

Lucky Kevin seated me with some guys from the same industry as me. I hit it off quite well with them. (A small cheer). And I guess the alcohol helped. We didn't only talk about our work or industries but also our lives, travels, and little topics on and off like lifestyles, GST, events, people.

They were really well travelled people. I'm super envious. They assured me of plenty of work travel opportunities in the future if my boss lets me lah. Gosh ... no way loh. I go away for 2 days only my work pile is like a mountain.

btw I successfully took leave for 25th - 29th of Jan 2007. Going to Guangzhou for a little R&R. I need it sia. But I'm also worried about my work. Who's gonna update my databases??? Who's gonna track the department progresses??? Maybe I should bring my laptop to China. Ya I should. *worrisome wort sweats*

Friday (3 days til Christmas)

Earlier that day at work, company arranged a potluck buffet for lunch and a gift exchange.

The gift I got was definitely a lousy recycled present. Procelien elephant like teapot. Wah liew. The bubble wrap was already yellowing loh. Can tell the person was not sincere in buying.

But never mind. I just hope my secret santa receipient was happy with what I gave.

That night, I had the most expensive meal in my life. And I think it'll be the most expensive I'll EVER eat.

My company's vendors decided to treat me and ... er ... 9 other of my colleagues for a pre-Christmas dinner. (No pictures cuz my handphone camera sucks for macro shots. I need a new handphone soon man. Waiting out for Samsung to launch new ones)

Westin Hotel ... 71st floor ... Jaans Restaurant. Italian food.

Dinner comprises :

  • 2 red wines
  • 1 white wine
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 6-course-dinner

6-course-dinner :

  1. appetitzer (not part of the course) of bacon bits some sweet sauce
  2. kingfish - just two sashimi slices with bits of veggie and a side of mango bits
  3. foie gras - bread wrapped duck liver with a small glass of lemon sherbet with horseradish (THE BEST OF THE DINNER)
  4. lobster bisque with a little wrapped thing of oysters, mushrooms and lobster meat
  5. red snapper with some sort of sauce that compliments it supremely
  6. veal with a side of soft brocolli wrapped with a slice of bacon
  7. sherbet ice cream (also not part of the course)
  8. another sherbet ice cream but with milky foam on top and sweet sauce at the bottom

Wanna guess the bill??? All the people whom I told guessed $400 when I put up 4 fingers. Sorry girls ... the bill was a whopping $4000!!!!! In my opinion it's not worth it. But this was fine dining on the highest level (literally). The portions although small (like it takes only 4-5 bites to finish each one) was each heavenly with every mouthful.

It's fine dining like this that I love but can't afford. *hint hint to hubby* Special occassions leh!!! Haha ... no need lah. I think I rather he spend the money buying diamonds or neat new electronic gadgets for me.

Saturday (2 days til Christmas)

HX invited me and some of the girls over for Steamboat and Mahjong. Wheee! Lost money lah ... but $10 is okay ... had a lot of fun cause I brought the puppies over that night.

Thanks Xin! I love the Beyond Bitches sticker ... still trying to figure out how to "decal" it onto my car.

Cyn, thanks for the candy! Hehe ... I think of you with every bite!

Sunday (1 day til Christmas)

Afternoon went to Bugis. Lovely decorations!!! And also got the diamond Christmas Tree by Soo Kee! Wah liew loh damn pretty but darn it was too crowded ... wanted to take a shot with me in it was next to impossible.

Next stop ... Yan's house!!! Wheee for pizza and KFC and to see all the new borns! I brought my one-mth-old puppies there while she had a 3 week old chinchilla BABY!!! SUPER DUPER CUTE!!!!!!

Yan! Do you have a name for the little one yet? It's also a boy like my two little boys.

Played mahjong, watched tv, read comics and eat the whole night sia!!! Had a small gift exchange too.

Me and hubby each of us got a photo frame. Not bad ... I need also mah. My office desk got photos but no frames keke.

Well I think I only played like 2 rounds last night. My hubby played ah ... super long!!! We only LEFT Yan's house at 9PLUS this MORNING!!!!

Monday

Oh yah ... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

My darling boys have names liao.

Lao Er is named Ber Ber. Yay! Now I have my Zhu Bi Ber (glutinous porridge in Hokkien) combination. Hee hee.

Lao San is named Xiong Xiong (chinese for Bear Bear). This is because hubby's granny said his face look like a bear. A very cute one. Hee hee.

They've grown a lot. Forgot to take videos of them walking!!!! They know how to walk now but running still not steady. But it's already bad enough cause they climb quite well too.

Will take a video of them walking and playing next time.

Learning how to drink milk from bottles too (the bottle is something like those hamster bottles where the dog has to use the tongue to push it). Little Bibi now not so stressed.

Hee hee ok ok ... little photos of them now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN ALL!

And to all my friends ... SEE YOU AT THE NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY AT EXPO!!!

Cutie Pies

Hee hee more photos to show of the two puppies.

Lao Er first. I didn't take much though.
Lao Er's character is a little boring. Safe but boring. He sleeps the usual way puppies would, he eats normally. Everything is normal.

But Lao San ... hahahaha.
I think I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Kekek ... I am still trying to decide to keep which one. Very hard!!!!
I want TWO ber bers!!!

I went to IKEA Tampines over the weekend.

First thing is the QUEUE!!! No I'm not talking about the queue to get into the HUGE carpark (which I still took about 15 mins to get in and get a lot.) I'm talking about the queue to ENTER IKEA!

It was ridiculous!!! There were barricades, like as if there was a free door gifts, on the ground level. That took us about another 15mins to just get past. Then got upstairs and found that the other people who parked on the 2nd and 3rd level DIDN'T NEED TO QUEUE!!! WHAT THE F***!!?

Okay whatever then. Got this cute little freebie though. Thought had to pay but it was free!! Should have taken more but it ran out DAMN fast.

Okay picture time again.

Went to Zouk last night. Super packed. I don't like. It's school holidays again I see. Crazy packed. I was too afraid to even go to the loo! But my bladder was killing me. So after a few treaded toes and 2 broken toenails ... I relieved myself.

Today ... I'm on leave. Yeah. Had to stay behind at work last night til like 9 plus PM. Sigh ... too bad loh ... I foresee more over time tomorrow and Saturday cause I gotta report to hand in ... which I've barely started. Cries.

Sleep first now ... work later. I'm on leave. Keke.

A little update on the puppies

They are bigger again. It's like they're growing EVERY DAY!

Now they just look like very fat ... beanbags. Haha.

All their eyes open liao. Small beady little black eyes staring back at me. I wonder what are they thinking now that they can see.

Changed monitor at work. Now with the widescreen I can scroll my databases with ease. I might invest in one in the future when I move house.

Went to Sun Moon Japanese Restaurant on Wednesday night to celebrate Yazi's birthday. Welcome to the 25 club gal. Now only left Va to join the club.

Chrismas is round the corner. I wonder where would I be this christmas ... most likely holed up at home doing nothing .. again.
