I HATE ORCHARD ROAD

I'm talking about last night. The night of Christmas Eve ... the morning of Christmas ...

I wish I could blog about what a fun time I had last night ... but no ... this fucked up shit had to happen.

Last night ... it was ...

A BIG FUCKED UP MESS AT ORCHARD ROAD!!!

You know those cans of fake snow ... its not exactly snow ... it's like a vile mixture of soap, detergent and STINK! And it was EVERYWHERE!!!

I mean like ... people, old and young, were spraying that damn fucking stuff everywhere!!! Over walking crowds, onto unsuspecting victims, suffering strangers who don't wanna be any part of it, into my friend's face, into our hair, clothes and bags!! WHAT THE FUCK!!! They even sprayed it onto the nice glass walls and buildings!!! Making so called words of joy and merry! I wanna tell them to go to hell! THAT'S FUCKING AS GOOD AS VANDALISM!!!

Is this what we are?? This RUFFIAN like, this CHAOS??? I thought Singapore is a cultured and WELL EDUCATED country?

From teh looks of last night, we seem more like a HUGE BUNCH OF MONKEYS discovering the joy of not giving but VICTIMIZING!!! Seeking fun from other people's SUFFERING!!!

And to think before my group got into this MESS, we had a fun time at PartyWorld KTV. I was about to sign off the night as a good one, then I had to get home, and the only way was ... MRT. CRIES!!!

My friend Va morever was ALLERGIC to the damn stuff. She was sniffing and sneezing and her resemblence to Rudolf got ever so close!!!

We only made it out of there after an hour! Of shoving, ducking away from the "snow", and getting our feet trampled on. I swear I was really wanting to punch the next person who sprayed the damn thing ... BUT THEY WERE EVERYWHERE!!!!

Imagine those poor parents who brought their little kids to see the Christmas lights!! I could see that they were not enjoying themselves AT ALL! Then how about those people who had late dinners and parties there??? Dress up nice nice, makeup and hair nice nice ... FAKE SNOW DESCENDS!!! They are a mess of what looks more like white vomit on them! It's fucking disgusting!

Singapore is not matured enough to tell the difference between good natured fun and unnecessary disturbance (or in my words a fucking nuisance to the public). They do not how to handle themselves in the right manner.

No festive cheer here. They should ban this. If I ruled Singapore ...

Xmas Eve Eve Celebrations

The girls came over last night for a little get together. Had potluck ... well ... I can say that it's gonna take me more than a year to work off the food I ate last night ... fantastic but ... TOO MUCH! We brought/cooked like at least 10 people's share of food ... and there was only me, hubby, Chelle, Yan, Va, Ya, and JS who came later. T_T

BTW ...

Went Ministry Of Sound last night with Yan, Va and Ya. Got that free Singtel SMS to let in a pair free per sms. Got priority queue some more loh!!! We got in in less than 5 minutes ... sweet!!!

Then entrance was entrancing. Beautiful coloured long long streams of lighted strings hanging from above. But cannot stand around there for long because of the reason of obstructing human traffic.

Once in ... first room ... RnB room. Gosh I felt that I entered a fighting arena. Someone mentioned that it looked like a strip club haha ... cuz of the fencing. To me ... it's like one of those caged fighting arenas where people see from the outside and cheering on the competitors inside. The music is really cool. One of the better music to dance to so far in my clubbing experience (then again I've not been to many clubs.) This room got crowded really quick. The dance areana (within the fences) is a little tight and sweat becomes your dancing partner if you're in there too long.

Second room ... the main dance floor of MOS. IT IS HUGE!!! Definitely bigger than Zouk's main dancefloor. Spacious too throughout the whole night!! They even have some professional dancers dressed in hot pants (I wonder if they wear undies) and sequinned/glow-in-the-dark bra tops!! Half of the place along the walls are bars ... the other half are tables and seats. No worries for lack of places to take your order cause it's really spacious!! There's a waterwall there, where ads and pictures were projected onto. What I didn't like was how bright that made the place. But still okay. Oh and in case you're afraid of getting sweaty, stand near the waterwall, the slight cool mist is really nice. We actually found an ESCALATOR in there!! It brought us up to the 2nd floor.

YES THERE IS A 2ND FLOOR!! HUGE MOS IS!!!!

We noticed that there are a lot of corners, dark staircases and little crooks and nooks around the place. Very suitable for a private "talk" alone, or even some privacy for you and your friends.

Upstairs choice of left or right. Left it's the main dance floor but it's overlooking it. Bars and plenty of tables with round high back long sofas or single white bar chairs along the sides (kinda like those chairs where you sit along the sushi bar). Great view of the dance floor below.

Right turn ... OUR PLACE ... RETRO!!!!!!!!!!!

It's soooooooooo awesome!!!!!!! I SIMPLY LURVE THE DECOR!!!!

Remember those square lighted flooring like the one from the movie Forever Fever with John Travolta! It's exactly like that!!! The whole ceiling above the dancefloor is cover with small, medium and big sized DISCO BALLS!!! WAH!!! It is absolutely BECKONING everyone to go to the dancefloor and do the John Travolta move. *points finger up and down and up and down*

And that's just the dance floor! The seats and tables ... sooo adorable!!! The bigger ones are like big sofas with high backs and then with light circle chains hanging from the ceiling. My faves were the egg shaped chairs where it's just nice for two to snuggle up in. Then there are the suspended transparent balls, completed with a thick comfy red cushion inside for one to sit in. It faces the dance floor, perfect for slacker guys to scope out the party on the dancefloor. Then the one we sat on ... two types ... one is the ordinary but very soft red round stool chair, the other is a black and white modern looking piece. Round black and white circles to make a chair ... I preferred that one cuz it had a back for me to lean on. This is the room which we stayed in to drink and talk cock til the crowd started coming in so that we could start dancing. Woohoo!

Then we accidently stepped into the ... VIP ROOM! it's soooooo WHITE!! Like blindingly WHITE (like the 1st floor's toilet that I'll mention later). But it felt like we stepped into .. a white haven!!! Half the room is filled with beautiful people! VIPS duh. Okay ... one side are 4 huge white beanbags, which seemed to be like queen sized!!! But it looked weird lounging in those, cuz ... imagine drinking and chatting while your body is half sunk in a beanbag. Hrmm. Not very good looking. Worse still if in a skirt. Then came the heavenly booths. Think BedSupperClub!!! Each booth had a bed like sofa in them with cushions. Gah ... so comfy looking!!! But the VIP room was more lounge then party. Oh well.

Now on to the toilets. The one upstairs was okay. But damn the person who chose that BLOODY HELL TINY TEENY SIGN that is a picture of a girl/boy. It looks almost alike loh!! I f-ing walked into the male bathroom leh!!! A guy had to practically point me in the right direction!! Shit shit shit!! So f-ing embarrassing!!!

Okay now the other toilet. Downstairs, 1st floor, near the escalator. One word ... or a few ... BLINDINGLY WHITE!!! MOS seems to like white a lot. The floor, the walls!! And it doesn't help that everything else are either mirrors or some reflective material!!! Except the doors of course. The doors were ... sandblasted glass I think thats what it's called. The prob with the white toilet is ... that ... even when someone is freaking high ... the whiteness of that place can really WAKE YOU UP! I was dancing so high liao! Went to the bathroom, woke up loh! Went back ... couldn't dance like before. Bleah!!!

Lurves about MOS :
- SPACIOUS! I tell you. Space is everywhere here. Not counting the dancefloor in the retro and RnB room though.
- more eye candy ... really.
- fantastic decor
- ventalation is better (but then again I've not experienced crowded nights yet)

I'm okay with the music. So so only ... but good enough for a dancing night out.

Gripes about the place though.
- EX EX EX drinks
- LONG LONG LONG queues
- the white toilet

Oh we saw venues within the club for private rooms ... I wonder how much those cost ... hen night???

Hubby's ah beng comp is dead for a while. Will only revive after New Year. No stock for his motherboard. But not bad leh. The company replacing his motherboard for him for free ... they didn't ask for his warrenty.

[First of all sorry no pictures in this post. My Fujitsu lappy crashed so now I'm in the midst of reinstalling everything in my new Acer 5504. Sweet!]

You'll never believe what actually happened to me yesterday morning. It was something out of a classic comedy!!!

I was fiddling with my ring while waiting for the train on the platform at Kallang. The train came. I got in the cabin and intended to put my ring back on my finger.

Ring refers to my WEDDING BAND that my hubby just bought for me about 6 months ago.

During this time, in my left hand I was holding HUGE ASS copy of 8 Days!!! 8 Days ah ... joker ah ... so big copy ... just carrying it around was a hassle!! I guarantee all the ladies in Singapore who read 8 Days this week cannot put it in any of their bags!!! Not even a standard laptop bag can contain that huge magazine!! I mean SIZE and not THICKNESS leh!

Okay ... I was holding that damn magazine in my left hand ... so ... well ... it got in the way of putting back my ring. Next thing that happened was so ... unbelievable that I was stunned there for a minute before squeeking out a "Oh Shit!"

My ring slipped out of my fingers, BOUNCED once on the train floor, then bounced OUT OF THE TRAIN just when the train doors CLOSED!!! So the ring was OUTSIDE while I was INSIDE!!!

How long was I stunned ... about the timing between the Kallang station and City Hall. I took THAT long to decide to go back to try to find it.

Got back, looked for the station master. He couldn't see the ring at all between the rails ... cries. Told me I had to wait til the next day at least to get it back. Already exchanged contacts with him, and just then, from the corner of my eye I saw a shiny object on the corner of the platform floor! MY GOD LOH!! MY RING!! F-ING LUCKY ME!!!!

Never again would I fiddle at a train station. From now on I'll wait til the DOORS ARE FULLY CLOSED before fiddling.

Was like half an hour late meeting Fiona who was already queuing up to pay for her purchases from the ... MANGO SALE at Wisma. Kekekeke. Yes we met up at 9am to just go and hustle and squeeze and snatch with I think half of the women in Singapore at the Mango Sale. Hee hee. From the looks of the number of women and crowds I see at ALL 4 outlets in Orchard (Wisma, Lido outside, Lido inside Isetan, Takashimaya), I was guessing like at least HALF of these women took LEAVE from their work to just come down to shop!! Hahahaha. Dear little Fiona was one of them!!! But I guess its worth it.

Came away with quite a few good buys. 3 tops each $19 and 1 top $49. Why $49? The material cost I guess .. plus it was very suitable to go two ways, can be worn to the office topped with a skirt or pants, or can be worn to club topped with jeans! Cool!!!

I still got two more $19 tops whom a stranger helped me reserved on Tuesday. Gosh ... she was soooooo nice!!! And lucky thing I reserved too cause those two tops the colours are no longer available during the sale ... PHEW!!! Will be meeting her on Monday to get them from her.

Will most likely be collecting back my wedding photos today!! So next entry will be quite full of photos kekekeke.

Confirmed tickets to go to Bangkok on 31st Dec coming back on 3rd Jan. Going with my hubby, both my parents-in-laws, both sis-in-laws, and an auntie. Now a big problem ... all the cheaper hotels are fully booked ... including Mandarin Hotel the one we usually frequent.

Still waiting for the launch of the Motorola V3X ... please come soon ... me wants it so bad! Kee kee.

Due to the lack of photos recently, I've given up on my hp camera and switched to using my trusty but bulky Canon digi camera. (HP got a lot of photos but I cannot transfer out cuz desktop is still dead.)

Trico, Torchic, Pikachu and ... and ... oh I don't think I know that last one. I saw it before on Pokemon Advanced the cartoon series but I couldn't remmeber the name.

Anyway, I found the quality of their costumes really good! Professionally done! Saw them at Parkway Parade yesterday afternoon. Super duper cute! Hubby was wondering why he still has a kid for a wifey heehehe.

Check out hubby's new ZHENG-ed (er modified?) desktop!!! He says it now weighs a ton and he strained his back from lifting it up to the table yesterday hahaha. I'm just happy that he ended up with blue lights instead of purple, due largely to the fact that blue lightings were easier to find than purple.

Yesterday went on a shopping trip at Parkway Parade and Johor's Holiday Plaza with hubby, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. In fact, I've been kinda shopping a lot the whole week. Went to Tampines Mall on Monday, Bugis on Tuesday, IMM mall on Thursday, Suntec City and Bugis Village on Saturday. These are what I got.

Not a bad haul right? Kekeke.

my hp camera is no longer working

Cries!!! The Motorola V3X better be worth the wait! My Samsung hp's camera has ... died. The only way I'm taking photos now is lugging around that big Canon camera of mine.

Christmas is just around the corner ... and I still don't have any plans for Xmas eve nor the big day itself.

Maybe I'll just cuddle up at home with hubby in bed sipping hot chocolate in our air con room together with our two darling dogs, watching Christmas movies on TV. Hee hee.

Got the black heels I like. I forgot to bite them before I wore them out last night to Zouk. Maybe that's why my toes ached.

Last night me and Yan left Zouk around 1+. We actually went alone but plus her colleague who I can say is ... *touches finger to butt* SSSSSSSSS ... hot! Hahah. Yeah ... he's cute in my books with the bod to go with it. Typical beach boy! He even made the pink tee shirt he wore look good. (Girls who want to know him, er ... go ask Yan. Kekeke.)

He left himself while I sent Yan home ... in the freaking THUNDERSTORM of a rain! It was like as if Singapore was starting to flood!!! I could barely see the tail-lights of the car in front of me. Or if there's no car ... I had little clarity of the direction of the road! It was SCARY!!! And the rain was pouring down so hard on the car that Yan and I had to practically shout to hear each other over the noise! Luckily the both of us got back safe and sound. Well at least I don't need to wash the car today. Kekeke.

Hubby's LATEST project ... which he MUST complete. That's our desktop computer strewn all over the floor ... he's added a better graphics card (I dare not ask how much), and LOADS of those fans. He ... chose ... PURPLE ... that's so ... GAY! Nvm ... he's my gay boy hahaha.

Hee hee ... Cyndi girl asked me to draw something for her again. I didn't mind ... I welcomed the chance to have something to draw again.

I just got all 350 of my invitation cards ... kekek ... time to start writing names and giving them out. Hubby bought the gold pen liao. Poor me have to write the names cause my handwriting is just that little bit better than his.

To all my friends ... keke ... get ready for my RED BOMBS! Woot!

Presently I'm waiting ... for the Motorola V3X to be released!!! It has all the features I want. Slim! 2.0 megapixel camera! Uses transflash technology meaning I can take and save loads of piccies!!!

The eyes has sent a message

Yesterday ...

My whole left eye was red. It looks like some demonic eye. Not a single bit of white. If only I had some powers to go with it ... maybe I could put a hex on someone and cast a spell on my wallet to be forever filled with $50 notes. Keke!

The truth is ... my eyes ... at last gave me a signal that I've worn my contact lenses long enough. I've worn them for like ... almost one month straight ... er ... without taking them off. Yah ... not even when I sleep. And these are ... keke ... weekly contact lenses.

I know I know ... stupid me. Hubby asked me if I wanted to go blind ... oh well. I'll try to take them out more often, but it's such a hassle. I wish there were some quick, painless way to correct my eyesight. But even the latest in eye surgery requires you to be semi conscious throughout the whole goddamn op!!! I have a phobia of needles!!! And you want me to NOT PANIC when the doctor slowly brings down a huge knife like thing towards your eye and him telling you to KEEP LOOKING UP!!! HECK NO WAY!!! I'll stick to my contact lenses.

Oh and my stupid throat is still ... sore. If you talk to me on the phone on a bad coughing hour, I'd sound more like a frog.

Off note : I'm neither getting the Tag Heuer nor the iPod already. The watch is like ... $4700!!! CrAzy!! And the iPod is super unfriendly in my terms of getting music. Only iTunes??? No thanks. I'd stick to regular 512mb MP3 players.

But I won't mind getting a iPod Nano for Christmas ... it's ... wah ... I still get shivers remembering how it felt HOLDING it. *shudders with excitement*

I'm dragging hubby off to go look at jewellery later ... 50% off at Lee Hwa loh! Other places also having similar sales!!
