Crazy Funky Halloween

Last night's Halloween with the girls was a big blast!!!!

In the afternoon I was going on a search for any sort of masks or ears or horns. All the costume shops were like all rented out, sold out or too goddam expensive.

You imagine a pair of horns (ordinary devil horns with a little sequins) would have cost me $15 to RENT! Crazy!!!

Next year, I think I'll go as a kitty. Or maybe a pirate! Kekek .. planning for next year liao. So fast. The others had a lot of fun too. Taking pictures with all the other patrons. There were SOOOOO many great costumes but rental I've been asking around is around $40 and up. And cannot keep! I don't see the point.

I saw a girl (but damn I forgot to take a picture of her) who had this HUGE feather hat ala Mardi Gras parade hat, which cost her $150 to RENT!!! CRAZY! And she told me she had a headache wearing it. Well, better make full use of the money she's paying sia.

My girls!!!
Fiona the innocent angel! (Good for me the devil to bully)
Xiao Jack (is this how to spell) went as a cheerleader. Really cool boots she had.
Yan went as a goth girl. To me she looked like a life sized goth dolls. Love her skirt!!!!
Me as a little devil with a mini devil fork courtesy of Yan.
Xueni wore big red horns too. But I still cannot tell if their devil or bull horns.
Va, Yazi and Eric's gf wore masks that I brought.

Oh the two guys.

Eric just wore a white mask ala Phantom of the Opera.

Kairen had HUGE horns too like Xueni. He keep telling me that I'm his ka-gia (direct translation "leg-child" but of course it doesn't mean that.) It just means that I'm his junior ... just because my horns are smaller. But I had the fork!!! He said seniors no need forks. BLEAH!!! Hahaha.

There was a really hot scene between these two ... kekek.

What I saw ... gosh the list is REALLY long.
The common ones :
- A LOT OF DEVILS
- a couple of angels
- zombies
- dead people
- fairies
- dogs
- kitties (no catwomen though)
- maids
- cowgirls/boys
- bloodied surgeons (the whole zouk staff of bartenders and bouncers wore like this last night!)
- nurses (some bloody too)
- a SIA stewardess (a male whole stuffed his bra with something and a old english lady mask. He actually walked delicately like a "lady" too)
- 3 raunchy SIA stewardess (they kinda were sluttish cuz one of them kept grabbing between her legs. Dunno why. Most likely drunk.)
- ghosts (there was a whole group that just took white sheets and cut two holes in it.)
- ghost brides
- cheerleaders
- plenty of goth girls/guys
- vampires
- bunnies
- nuns
- pirates
- iranians? or arabs? What's the correct term?
- witches
- a lot of those mad killers like from Psycho and Scary Movie

The ones who STOOD OUT!
- a koala bear with a huge head
- two chun li's (one was a girl who was so flat and we kept suspecting she was a guy but she's a girl, the other was a guy but damn he looked better than the girl girl chun li!!)
- a mahjong tile HONG ZHONG!!!!
- an emperor
- HARD GAY!!! Yes there was one guy. He and our friend Kairen did the infamous crotch pumping together HAHAHA.
- a monk (the guy really went ALL BALD!)
- cleopetra
- bloody butchers carrying around body parts (these were the security people for the cars)
- Mario!!!
- construction workers
- terrorists ala Control Strike.
- Snoopy
- Donald Duck
- 3 mexican dudes

Sad to say I don't have ALL the pictures. A lot of them are in Fiona's and Yan's sister's camera. Girls!!! I want hor!!!! Send to me via MSN.

Here are some of the more ... interesting photos lah. But if you wanna see the whole Halloween set of photos that I took just click ... here.

Other news of Tyrene :

Friday night after work met hubby to go all the way to Clementi to eat ...

Botak Jones

First thing we notice there, it's a kopitiam (coffeeshop). Second, there was a LONG queue for it. Hrmm ... long queue according to Singaporean mentality equals good food! Kekeke.

I had the Botak Burger. (1 beef patty) While hubby had a whopping ... U-Crazy-What!? Burger. <-- THREE FREAKING BEEF PATTIES!

Verdict : It was ... VERY VERY FILLING! It was not bad if you're really hungry. It's like 150g each patty. But it was like an extra $1 for each patty that you wanted cheese on. We had four loh so had to pay $4 extra. We didn't know loh!

Had to wait quite long too for the food. But then again, a lot of people ordered.

Next time I wanna try their fish and chips. Hubby wanna try the steaks. Hee hee.

Saw this poster on the mrt on the way home.

Interesting Pictures

Found this car in B2 of Cineleisure carpark.

Pooh Bear Obsession, found in the carpark beside the hawker centre opposite Harbourfront.

This tea was super relaxing to smell. Too bad it was not mine Michelle stole the dark cookie. Poor Eva was left with the white cookie only.

Okay ... I found something interesting in Clarke Quay while waiting for the girls. Celebrated Ling's birthday at .. at ... damn what was that restaurant's name?

I'm suffering memory loss now.

All I remembered were the wondering Tacos, Fajitas, Grilled wraps, etc. GOSH!! The meal was so gooood. Even the appetizer nachos with dips was good! Their cheese dip was to DIE FOR!

All I remember it's beside Brewerkz. Damn ... it something lizard. Or was it chameleon?

Okay back to the interesting ... thing I found at Clarke Quay. I'll just post the pictures and you see for yourself.

Okay this was just the top view. But when I got lower.

vivo (again) and DblO Date?!

Hee hee. Quite a nice little weekend I had.

Yesterday was ... funny.

Went to Vivo City. It's scary how far back the traffic queued up to get into the Vivo carpark ... well it's free til the end of the month ... but for only the first 3 hours. T_T Spent like half an hour from point of turn into carpark til the time we found a lot. Considered lucky cause there were SO MANY cars.

We had a stalk a family who looked kinda lost and was searching for their car. Then they (we too) heard the magical beep beep! Yay their car was very near where we waited. Woot! GOT A LOT!

Super crowded Vivo. The novelty of the place is wearing off on me. I'm more fascinated by the outdoor third level wading pools and the walkways around facing sentosa. Beautiful resort feeling.

A lot of families were there on the 3rd level. Kids playing, some swimming. Adults cooling off their feet. It's really different. Only thing missing is clean air. Sigh.

I would imagine there are night would be really beautiful.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay enough about Vivo. Let's talk about the night. Hahaha.

I went DblO ... without letting hubby know. Kekeke.

Why?

Cause he was already there and I wanted to surprise him!

I found his friend when I got there. Got him to bring me to the table like as if I was some girl he picked up. Lo and behold. I stood in front of hubby for quite a few seconds before he was like "What are you doing here?" Hahahaha. He didn't recognise me loh! Heng ah.

Had quite a bit of fun. But went back early cause he was tired.

I saw him smoke ... a minus point for me.

But he quickly rectify that by telling me this as we drove home that night.

"Seeing you like that tonight, I think I fell in love with you all over again."

*blushes*

Ended the night with calamari and beef hor fun ... bliss sia!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Ooh today I went to his shop again. Found this pair of really adorable shades. I think I'll ask him to reserve it for me tomorrow. I want it!!! TOOOO CUTE!

oh crap

CRAP!!!

Literally ... crap was found ALL OVER MY CAR this evening when I went out to buy Katong Laksa.

(Lai I hope you're reading this bit. Kaaaaa - toooooong laaaaaaaak saaaaaaaaa! Hope you're good in America haha)

Okay back to crap ... I had the idiocy to not check the lot that I parked in. I should have seen the tree, I should have heard all the damn birds in that tree. I should have known my car has since last night become PRIME target for ... bird poo.

It's like ALL THE BIRDS suffered diarrhoea last night. (wondering who's the bastard who feeds them leftover rice every morning. I kid you not. There's someone in our block feeding these birds. Every morning I'll see a certain part of the floor near the carpark with leftover rice~!)

The birds needed to poo ... and my car was their toilet bowl ... cries.

I was like SPEEDING all the way to the car wash. Poor guy at the carwash must have thought "OH CRAP!" when they saw my ride.

Yes buddy, same sentiments on my side too.

Soon it got all nice and clean. A good six dollars spent.

In other news ... hubby is coming back tonight. Bought the laksa for him to eat when he comes back at 4am ++ later. Hope he's hungry. I think budget airlines usually don't have food.

Hazy days are still here

This is shitty.

I have a sore throat and a cough which I mostly cannot control at work and break out in fits of spit and sputter.

My car which I sent for a car wash only on Wednesday night was covered by a LAYER OF DUST (it could be dirt or ash for all I know) by Saturday morning. And it's not a small layer, I could see the dirt from 5 meters away!!!

My phleagm today is thick and tastes yucky. Doesn't help that I'm a good citizen who doesn't know how to spit. It's like having a liquid gum in your throat that annoys you so much yet you can't rid of.

My hubby took my lappy so I cannot post the pics of the heavenly dinner I had with Yan and Ling on Friday night. We went to this restaurant called "The Sun and The Moon" at Wheelock 3rd level.

The atmosphere ... cozy and zen.

The food ... small portions (as compared to the prices) but oh so HEAVENLY!!!

Just imagine ... beef that MELTS in your mouth.

Veggies bbq-ed to just the right amount and even the sweet potato which the kebabs were stucked on tasted yummy!!! (imagine sticks of food poked into the tiny logs of sweet potato. We were attacking the potato before we even finished the kebab.)

The soft shell crab tempura was divine! Not at all oily and tasted so yummy without that strong seafood smell.

The sushi was different. We didn't know what the yellow stuff was on top, but whatever it was it was delish!!!

But the bill ... woah ... $78++ in all. But the 3 of us didn't mind paying every cent. It was heaven to our tastebuds.

After that we headed off to Butter Factory to meet Va and the rest of the girls. It was small but I LOVED the look of the place. Wall displays of great cartoons, most of whom I recognise but I can't remember the name.

The music was DRAB at first but after midnight it picked up. R&B! WOOT!

But the crowd was sadly disappointing. My group felt ... YOUNG. The crowd was mostly in their 30s, or a lot more. Very few 20s.

Luckily my group was big enough for us to have our own fun.

Hubby status : He's somewhere in China now. Dunno if he left Danyang yet. I gave him a ... list of things to get for me there. Mainly coloured contact lens, mp4 player, and sportsac bags (tokidoki series)

I'm not worry about him with girls there. I know he prefers me (do not puke). What I worry more is his eating. Kekekeke. Hope he's not getting too fat there.

Missing him though. Being sick adds on to the lonelineses. sigh.

Vivo & Haze

VIVO CITY HAS OPENED!!!

But sad to say it's only half done. 50% of the stores are not ready yet. But I do see several names that I love.

FWomen, Zara, TopShop, Warehouse, Giodarno, G2000, Charles & Keith, Forever21.

It even has Toys'R'Us!!!! YAY!!! Any time I feel glum, I can go there to perk up with cute stuff.

Tangs is the departmental store there. Looks quite chic, but I didn't like the crowd jostling so I didn't check it out.

Maybe Monday after work. Hahahaha. Damn I'll be going there like EVERY FREAKING DAY!!!!

Here's a little flyer of the opening. *click*

I took only a few photos. Yes I was too busy shopping. I bought a damn nice top and a sweet skirt. Even a few stuff from Toys'R'Us.

Cute buys! Perfect for clubbing at Double O tonight! $39 top from Forever21. $16.90 green skirt from Nichii Fashioncity. Devil's staff and flower $4.90 from Toys'R'Us. Hee hee.

There's got to be something seriously wrong going on!!!

I thought it was my contacts. I thought I wore a defected pair. But damn it's not!!!

I wake up and head to work with my head sniffing around in SMOKE! Not mist ... it is smoke!!! I can smell it on me even when I reach the office!

It is so bad that I cannot even see the National Stadium.

Last night when I looked down my corridor, I actually found that the end of it was BLUR WITH SMOKE!!!

Hope this haze goes away soon. I can actually feel my immune system getting weaker.
