Day of my wedding 27/01/06

I woke up at 5.30am only to just fall back asleep. Then hubby called at 6.30am, "Dear it's 6.30."

I just replied to him, "Don't bluff me lah!"

After that it was a flurry of a rush for me. I stubbed my toe, banged my arm against the door rushing around. Waking up my whole family and my videographer and make up artist have already arrived!

I remember shouting to my girls at 7.50am, "Seng Wee might be early leh!!!"

Sure enough I heard the sound of the bridal car below horning for his entry. Then I can hear my girls downstairs like "Oh no he's here!" Hahah so excited!

Poor hubby had to sing, dance, used as a pole, and eat all sorts of funny stuff. Funniest to me was the fact he had to shout chinese poems to express his love to me! Haha. And his chinese is ... alamak. XD

Outside my gate, he had to shout a chinese love poem to me. Then inside but outside the main door, he and his brothers had to use Seng Wee as a pole for a sexy pole dance. In the house the fun was not over yet, he had to mix blue cheese, wasabi and dunno what else into a bowl and then make his friends finish it. He himself had to eat a durian ... which he HATED!!!

Then up the staircase, or so he thought. He had to give my jie mei's the ang bao first! In the end ... I heard it was $288 ... hahah ... not bad lah girls.

But that was not the end for poor Seng Wee. He reached my door. Yazi pulled out a piece of paper. He had to not make mistakes for this. Reading out a chinese poem, which he did terribly and soooo funnily. But after 2 tries he got through and got me. Hee hee.

These photos are when I was leaving. My mascara was running. Bleah!!! Lucky for me my sisters had a trusty cotton stick for me to clean it off.

But when we reached my parents in law house. The brothers arrived first and LOCKED my jie meis outside!!! NOOO! Let them in! Which they did when the tea ceremony started.

I dunno how many time I gave to my elders tea that day. Quite a number! Even at the wedding dinner I was still giving tea to my elders. Missed out some during the day. Mostly I received ang baos, but some of them gave me jewellery as presents.

I got :
- 1 pair of diamond earrings
- 2 gold bracelets
- 2 white gold necklaces with pretty pendants
- 1 gold necklace with a big jade pendant!

Hubby got a huge gold ring which was too big for him.

After all the tea ceremony, off to the hotel we went. The presidential suite is HUGE!!! It's more than twice as big as my 3 room flat!

Came with a ...
- huge jacuzzi
- king sized bed
- own coffee maker
- living room, dining area
- OTO foot massager

Okay at this point I'm a bit lazy to say more. I'll let the rest of the pictures to do the talking.

I'll do that only when I'm more rested in my HUGE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE in Orchard hotel.

After I've dipped myself in bath salts in my big JACUZZI!!!

After I've used the ... er ... special looking shower.

After I've relaxed my feet in the OTO feet massagers.

After I've had my coffee made from the coffee machine.

After my reunion dinner tonight.

Then once I've done all these ... I'll upload ... kekeke.

It was a beautiful night. Thanks all again. I had a lot of fun.

Only regret was not being able to talk to most of my friends throughout the night. On the move ALL THE TIME!

Thank you to my hubby and especially his brothers Marcus, Stanley, Ian, Teck Kim, and Henry. His brothers ah ... really hard to find good guys like them! They helped out A LOT ... esp Marcus who I think only ate like 10% of his dinner. He was running around so much!!!

Okay .... I'm off to pack my stuff ... then reunion dinner tonight.

Woot! Great Hen Night!

But warning ... it was $58 for classic Mani and Pedi cuz of the period near CNY. And TODAY onwards til after CNY it's $78 for the same thing ... but $55 for the express for both. It's ex loh but then all nail salons are doing it cuz CNY mah!

Clever sia. Service industry only problem is that they are not able to attend to as many customers as they are getting. Imagine I sat there for 3 hours plus before my nails were done!


The girls booked Pan Pacific hotel for our "hen night" Gosh they are fantastic.
Summary of what we did :
- Dropped off stuff at Pan Pacific Hotel
- Clarke Quay to get the MOS chop first
- Dinner at an Indian restaurant called Ras (nice food but a little too ex but still good experience to eat; Yazi had the hardest time.)
- Off to MOS for a little tour of the different rooms again.
- Va opened a Jim Bean loh!
- Played only 2 rounds of a "odd one out" game. Odd one out have to do forfeit. I kenna BOTH!!!
- First I had to get a guy's phone number. Heng they got a guy who was such a sweet gentleman and cute too in my opinion. He later jio-ed me to go to Zouk with him but I couldn't as I was heading for supper with my girls. Sorry. Girls priority that night.
- Second I had to dance with Yazi for one whole song on the dancefloor (when it was empty). We didn't do it, but I downed my whole glass of Jim Bean with Coke and got a splitting headache straight after. Didn't touch another drop for the rest of the night. Kekeke. That's why I'm still sane!!!
- Soon the mood was on, we danced.
- Michelle was hilarious for dancing without her shoes and her fantastic red socks! She even super danced with an ang moh and going crazy with retro moves! Hahahah ... VERY entertaining.
- Downstairs main hall also played retro. But one portion of the dancefloor was beginning to flood. I think because of the overhead so called mist that felt more like a light shower. Standing under there got my hair wet loh! Soon clean up crew were there to suck up all the flooding water.
- Left at around 2am, supper at MS bah kut teh. Great to eat good food with good friends and good bitching.
- Went back hotel, they bathed. Then all knock out. Woot!

This is only temporary. I'm still waiting for my hubby to tell me how he wants to put it again cuz he might wnana shift his friends around again.

Sorry friends for putting you all in that corner. I feel so bad. But as you can see I had quite little choice in terms of arrangment.

Okay, I'm off to fetch hubby. Gonna have a nice lunch and then come back to slog away at house work, wedding preparations and CNY cleaning.

No more Ah Lian coloured hair for me.

Human Jam at Bugis Traffic Lights

Look at this photos, what do you see?
Massive human traffic jam ... in the middle of two traffic lights.

This is the junction between Bugis Junction and Bugis Village (as shown in the picture I sketched below).

SIBEI STUPID loh!!!!

The lights at point 1 is something wrong loh!!!! The time it took for the lights to turn red for the pedestrians to cross was the same time as it turned red TWO TIMES for the pedestrians at point 2 to cross!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!

And I got caught there you know!!! Imagine the hot scorching sun basking on your skin, loads of sweaty skin brushing against you, the crowd not moving AT ALL!!!!

Yay I got a very SWEE looking new hp pouch bought from Bugis. Only $11.90. Looks branded right??? Kekeke.

Hubby also got a new hp ... but he got this like on Monday. Long ago. But he loving it. I almost got this phone loh. You believe that he paid NOTHING for this phone. A FREE PHONE LOH!!!

- he upgrade with his plan (which is a fucking ex one)
- he trade in my old Samsung E700A for $100
- in the end actually still need to pay $48 but ...
- he got a lucky dip coupon of $48 .. HAHAHA ...

This phone outside selling at least $400 without plan loh!!!!

I'm looking forward to Wednesday and Friday.

Plans ahead :
Sunday - Meet wedding consultant at hotel to choose gifts, deco and confirm tables (40 min); Going for friends' wedding dinner at Sheraton Towers.
Monday - Re highlight my hair + treatment; YILING IS BACK IN SINGAPORE!!!!; Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Ch 5 at 10pm.
Tuesday - Final fitting and collection of coats and dresses from the photo studio.
Wednesday - Manicure + Pedicure at 4pm; "Hen Night" at Clarke Quay + MOS (I'm a little scared though excited about this.)
Thursday - Collect flower bouquet; Zhu + Bi grooming appt at 6pm; My return to MOTHER's home to sleep there.

... then the real fun begins there. Am I ready? Frankly ... no but what the hey, I don't really care now at this point! Hahahahaha! Wheeee! Let's get crazy!

Going at 3+ in the afternoon is a good time to shop. Not that many people. No hustling elbows with other customers in the shops. Leisure window shopping. Shopping therapy is great ... took loads of stress off my shoulders about next Friday.


Went a little shopping at Marina Square today. Straight aimed for the Fox Fashion shop. Bought a skirt there ... hehe ... will be wearing for girls party night on coming Wednesday! Wheeee!


Do I get my money back if it's not darn good???


Saw this at the Mini Toons shop in Marina Square ... eeeeeewwwwwww? Er ... cheap lousy version of the rubber doll ... still .. EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!

After that a trip to Giant. For Bonjuor's chocolate bread, Gardenia white bread to go with my Ayam brand salmon spread, and a copy of my fave magazine "8 Days".

Okay ... I'm getting a bit scared ... Yan say that to leave the rest of the stuff up to the girls on Wednesday.

I did a fantastic imitation of our Singapore icon last night.

Last night had ...
- share a jug of vodka ribena
- share a jug of whisky dry
- share a jug of beer
- had a waterfall (this is what killed me)

Thank you girls for taking of me last night. I must have been a horrendous sight puking my guts out at the drain. Even a Mr. Cockcroach accompanied me! Hahah. Sorry for ruining your night out. Sniffles. I feel horrible.

PLEASE SPARE ME ON HEN NIGHT! I dun wanna feel like this ever again!!! This time I seriously swear!

I got home ... er ... I mean I STAGGERED home in one piece. I cannot remember getting into the lift nor opening my door. But I DO remember collasping on the sofa and falling asleep. This was a BAD MOVE. Morning hubby found me not in bed still ... at 6am!!! I was on the sofa lah. When he found me, he slapped me, and then started telling me how worried he was. I wish I could have hugged him back, but my instant reaction was to run to the toilet to puke.

He was gloating over my misery loh. When I emerged from the loo, he smiled at me and said,"Had fun last night ah?" Wah liew. Glad to say he took care of me for the whole morning. Bought me breakfast of carrot cake and pork porridge which I puked. Made me hot green tea, which I also puked out. Cries!!

Whole of this morning been puking everything my stomach took. Even WATER!!! Even a small sip of water caused me to puke like a merlion.

Now I feeling better. Sigh. Need to clean house now ... my long time no see girl friend Zhiyun and his hubby Caiwei are coming over! Yay! So long never see them liao. They were my classmates from secondary school loh! That's almost 10 years ago!!!!!

Signs that Chinese New Year is creeping near. That rice like orange I saw in Sakae Sushi. That bus ... I hate ... so ugly.


Found this disgusting lizard on my side of the door. I practically RAN from my car after getting off. Didn't want to run the risk of it jumping on me. Yucks!

Like Independence Day (f-ing good movie). Or that movie "The Forgotten". I couldn't sleep that night after watching that movie cuz I slept near the window. *cries* But still a good show.



My two babies can tell the weather they don't like. They cannot go "gai gai" (outing) and also feeling more lethargic than usual.


2 stand photos with frames (brown n silver), cd, 2 versions of thank you cards, a tiny mini album, a bible sized album, inside still got all the negatives and the REST of the photos that we rejected.

Updates on wedding :
- Invites only 75% sent out. *dies* I need to call the rest to tell them.
- So far 4 friends cannot go.
- Need to call all friends for confirmation of attendance
- Arrange seating!
- Get ready speech for my two darling emcees.
- Collected some of the photos. Main albums need to redo some. Blur quality HOW CAN! Pay $8k leh! Must be clear!!
- Ling is coming back on the 23rd for me! *yeah*
- "Hen Night" on 25th. No stripper (yet.) Party at MOS Ladies night! Drink n dance the night away! Remember to get in early!
- Photo montage still not done!!! HOW?!?!?!?
- Need to call hotel, call videographer
- Got 4 Jie Mei car to follow us. Must confirm soon. 2 for me 2 for hubby.

Tentative schedule for actual day :
0630 - Start preparations (dress, makeup, hair)
0830 - Groom arrives to pick up bride
0900 - Bride & Groom leaves for groom's parents house
0930 - Reach groom's parents house to do tea ceremony
1130 - Reach our "new house" together; Change into white and pink gown
1230 - Go back to bride's parents house for tea ceremony
1430 - Go check into hotel

I feeling so warm liao ... even though it has been raining non stop for the past few days. It's a wonder that Singapore hasn't flooded.

Driving is a drag in the rain.

I thought yesterday was gonna be a very very dismal day.

First I woke up with my eye hurting ... so I put eye-mo to ease it a little.

Later I wanted to put on my contacts before going out to do the "guy buying the daughter" thing with my family. My left eye was STINGING like mad. Immediately it teared like nuts and puffed up like as if someone punched me.

I was like "oh shit"! Morever I couldn't open it properly as it felt super sensitive to light! Today is glasses day.

Then I had to start informing my girls ... sorry girl ... no chionging last night. I was really looking forward for a night out. But ... i cannot imagine looking so geekish in glasses and then also closing my eyes half the time from the bright lights.





But still in the end, I met Ade, Yazi, Yan, Va and Chelle for dinner ... at Marche, Suntec. Then they came over to my place for a little mahjong session. Hahaha. As usual I konked out in bed letting hubby take over my mahjong. Wah liew ... I really lousy leh ... cannot stay up late one.

Today woke up ... rain rain rain! But a little something black brightened up my day ... keke.



My parents bought the Samsung D600 for me! SWEE LOH!!! The pics I took so far are DAMN clear!!! And the flash is damn bright. Next entry I confirm will take using my new cam and post .. yeah!!! Later gonna test out see how clear the photos are on my tv ... keke.

BKK trip for new year

Sigh ... spent NYE and NYday in Bangkok. Only thing I loved about it ... the shopping.
